I think it’s excellent. It’s deliberately over the top and melodramatic. It manipulates the audience in the same way that most reality shows do. The soundtrack itself is intense, with frequent shifts. I hope my crossfading skills are up to the task. The story itself is about multiple intersecting levels of manipulation. So much meta!
Long time followers will hear a lot of familiar lore components and memes, like the vaunted cheers. You’ll also hear some new lore items, like the MRO.
I think the story is complex, but still fairly easy to follow. I think there are real twists in every episode – which is a challenge for this genre.
This version sticks to the arc-committed cast. A crowdsourced version to include more guest stars should be in the works. The arc itself takes precedence, though.
The schedule for the podcast production is now fairly well-established, which makes it easier. Saturday script drop 7 pm (I’m ahead for this Saturday), Thursday draft version 7pm, published version on Friday 7pm. (Unavoidable technical difficulties pushed this to Saturday, but I still intend to adhere to that outline.)
It’s going wide (links submitted to major podcast directories like Apple and Spotify) as soon as E5 is produced! I’ll also be setting up the link redirects there to make the website more professional.
