Bubble-gum Bouguereau: Sing Along (Priss & Esme)
Added 2023-10-13 09:00:03 +0000 UTCAny of our reference photos can be combined and collaged together to make group compositions, so with these group photo-sets we wanted to create interactions where the models are clearly posing in reference to one another. These tight interactions echo the closed groupings of our titular Bouguereau, who often overlaps his figures to create contained compositions in the centre of the canvas. In this photoset Priss and Esme, both lead musicians in their own bands, pose in a dramatised bedroom sing-along, riffing off of the compositions of historical artists who have informed the photosets and contemporary artists who use similar devises, like the painter Pascal Möehlmann.
