Added 2022-07-03 08:08:39 +0000 UTCWe were back in the Brighton Studio with Olly Hearsey this week shooting our new life, portrait and clothed photo-sets! In response to feedback we lit these slightly differently to recent sets, darkened the backgrounds and exploring a greater variety of angles on poses. We also quadrupled the photos in our sculpture poses to give a wider range of options for everybody who uses the rotations. We're pleased to welcome Kimi, Kat, Lilith, Arthur and Naomi to the Patreon - they'll now be benefiting from the monthly income that we distribute to all of the models featured on here and we have some amazing images from the shoot to inspire your work! Below you'll find a schedule of when some of those images will one released and a set of images for you to work from.
Future shoots
We are currently planning (and saving!) for our next shoot in Autumn when we'll putting all of your recent feedback into practice! We'll be shooting the following sets this autumn/winter:
- In-context photo-set: The domestic interior (baths, kitchens & group scenes)
- Artist-themed photo-sets: Paula Rego, Claire Partington & Jenny Saville
- Portrait & Life photo-set (focusing on dramatic, single-direction lighting)
- Portrait photo-sets (focusing on guest models of different ages)

Guidelines for using the photographs
Please do:
- Download these pictures to your own computers and devices, downloading the Zip files for all images, or saving individual photos.
- Use the pictures to draw, paint, print and sculpt from, being as realistic or creative as you like
- Share the artwork you’ve made with us and the world - in books, in exhibitions, on social media, or on your fridge
- Tag us in work you make (@drawbrighton / #drawbrighton) – you don’t have to, but we love to see what you’ve made!
- Edit the photo files as reference for your own drawings - you can change the contrasts, colours and backgrounds to provide more tailored reference for yourself.
Please don't:
- Share these pictures with anybody else – they are between you and us
- Share the photos themselves online – thanks for respecting our models’ privacy
- Edit the photo files themselves for artwork – we want to see original work you’ve made
