Prompt: Naoto VS Akechi: The Fallout

Summary: After the argument Naoto had with Akechi, she and her boyfriend return to their hotel to rest and cuddle the night away.

Sequel to Naoto VS Akechi.

---

“Is it me, or did the weather take a turn for the worse?” Yu wondered aloud.

“As always, your detective skills rival my own, Senpai,” Naoto commented as she ran the older man.

The weather in Tokyo had turned from a calm, winter afternoon to a blistering, bitter snowstorm. The couple ran side by side back to their hotel as the wind slammed into their bodies. Each gust of wind carried hundreds of bits of snowflakes. Their bodies were practically painted white from the falling ice.

The two made it to their hotel, thankfully, and they let out a united sigh of relief as they stumbled inside the warm building. Yu shook his head, brushing snow from it as he looked at his girlfriend. Naoto was batting at her body with hands hands.

“I’m going to vote we stay in for the rest of the day,” he chuckled.

“I agree,” she nodded, brushing more snow from her body.

The two easily made it back to their room where they changed out of their now wet clothes. Yu waited inside the bedroom as he listened to his girlfriend move around the bathroom. The usually calm man blushed slightly, his mind traveling to his possibly nude girlfriend. The door opened and Yu stood at the ready, hoping his cheeks didn’t look too red.

“I’m sorry it took so long. I decided to take a warm shower as well. Feel free to do the same,” she explained, rubbing her navy locks with a hotel towel. Yu stared at her, though part of him wish he hadn’t.

The white bathrobe she was wearing was a little too big for her, and it hung down her shoulders, exposing fair skin. Naoto had abandoned her sarashi years ago, letting her breasts hang unimpeded. Just the top part of cleavage was exposed, but that was enough for Yu to blush and turn his head away.

“S-sure,” he muttered. “I’ll go take a shower and dry off. Meanwhile, you might want to consider putting on pajamas or something.” He quickly walked past Naoto, and the sleuth raised her brow in confusion.

She glanced down to look herself over, and her eyes widened. Naoto saw the way her body was exposed! What was wrong with her?! Naoto quickly changed out of the clothes, throwing on a white button up shirt and light blue shorts. Simple clothes for their night in the hotel.

Naoto tried to put the event behind her, and she sat on their bed with her laptop, quietly writing reports about some cases she solved recently. Yet even while she worked, her fingers gently stroked the bed.

One bed for them to share… One bed, just big enough for two people… Naoto’s blush didn’t leave her, and she almost sighed in defeat.

The sleuth heard the bathroom door open, and Yu walked out of the steam filled room, smiling. “You were right. That was just what I needed.”

“I’m glad you a-ah…” Naoto’s jaw fell open, and her rosy cheeks exploded until her entire face and neck were consumed with embarrassment.

Yu was shirtless, wearing only a towel wrapped around his lower half, and the towel didn’t even reach his knees! His bare chest, still wet with droplets of water, was completely open for her to ogle at. She was ashamed to admit that her eyes were glued to his smooth chest, admiring his sleek physique, and his subtle, but firm muscle structure.

She eventually tore her eyes away and stared at the computer screen. “P-please! Put on a shirt!” Naoto demanded, trying not to see her handsome boyfriend walking around the bed.

“Heh.Sorry. I couldn’t resist,” Yu explained, chuckling. He pecked Naoto’s cheek as she listened to him put his clothes on. “Hey, are you wearing my shirt?”

Naoto didn’t reply, merely pulling on the shirt’s collar until the lower half of her face was masked by the white cloth. She refused to let him see her blushing face, but she could see his toothy grin, and that made her cheeks turn an even darker shade of red..

---

After Yu was done teasing his Detective Prince, the two laid on their bed together. Naoto was reading a book, laying on her back while Yu was beside her, eating from a plate of leftover curry. Two cups of warm hot chocolate sat on the nightstand beside the bed.

“How’s your book?” he asked, after swallowing some of the food down.

“Good. The detective just crossed one of the red herrings off of the suspect list. I was told that this mystery was difficult to predict. I have yet to be impressed,” she smiled, an iota of pride in her eyes.

Yu loved that look in her eyes. “Want some?” He picked up a spoonful of the curry and held it out to his lover. She wordlessly opened her mouth and lifted her head. She wrapped her lips around the utensil and pulled the food into her mouth, quietly chewing it.

Yu had the biggest grin on his face afterwards, and Naoto arched her brow. “Sorry. You’re just really cute.” Her cheeks turned a rosy hue at that and she quickly lifted her book to cover her face.

“D-don’t say something so ridiculous…”

“What’s wrong? I thought you liked the truth, my little Detective Prince,” he teased, placing a hand on her head to play with her navy locks. She batted his hand away, glaring at him, though her cheeks made it hard to take her too seriously.

“You are impossible,” she muttered.

“You wouldn’t want me any other way,” he replied, kissing her head. She merely grumbled to herself, trying to hide from his silver gaze.

Yu took another bite of the curry, chewing it with a grin on his lips, before bringing another spoonful to his girlfriend. Naoto glared at him once more, before she lifted her head up and ate another bite of curry. Yu chuckled as she hid her scarlet face.

---

Later in the night the two sat on the bed together. Naoto was in Yu’s lap, his arms wrapped around her body. The TV was playing a movie, an action film about a rogue cop chasing after a criminal organization.

Naoto knew the film failed to capture what it actually meant to be an officer, but she still enjoyed it. She refrained from making several comments about the film each time it made a factual error, but she couldn’t stop herself as the errors piled up.

“What’s happening?” one man asked his captain.

“They’re hacking us.”

“What?”

“The  terrorists are hacking our entire internet. We have no bandwidth to fight them with.”

“My god…!” The officers clamored to recover their data as Naoto’s eye twitched.

“That’s not how that works.”

“Something wrong, my darling Detective Prince?” Yu teased, poking his girlfriend’s cheek. She turned her head away, glaring into his shoulder.

“Do not call me that,” she huffed, with rosy cheeks.

“I can’t help it. You blush every time I do, and I think that’s cute.”

“I am not cute,” she retorted.

Yu just hummed in response, clearly not believing her. The movie continued as the couple cuddled together. Naoto pulled on his arms, trying to wrap herself in his warmth like a blanket. The two continued to watch the movie in silence, only for another one of Naoto’s nerves to be struck.

“That’s not how that works,” she sighed.

The main hero had just been badly injured. He had lost a lot of blood, when his partner came to help. The partner had injected the hero with several syringes of blood, straight into his wrist. The hero awoke, and was now fighting like some kind of superhuman.

“That would more likely kill the officer. Completely ridiculous...”

“We watched Neo Feathermen Battle Force Z: The Final Evolution last week, and you didn’t point out nearly as many problems with that film.”

Naoto hid her head, pressing her back into Yu’s chest so her head was just under his chin. “That is different.”

“Why? Because it was your favorite, childhood movie?” Naoto stiffened in his arms, trying to roll herself up into a tiny ball. “I listen, remember? You said that was your favorite movie growing up. I think you said it was the perfect movie?”

“I did not say that!” she huffed, breaking out of her boyfriend’s arms to glare at him. Her eyes failed to intimidate, of course, probably because of her blush.

“That’s right. You said it was near perfect. The movie put too much focus on Feathermen Red, right?”

Sometimes I wish he wasn’t so attentive, she thought with a frown. Naoto crossed her arms, reminding herself to calm down. She knew how to retaliate, and she didn’t need to raise her voice to do it. “If you continue to tease me, I’ll simply have to find another seat.”

Yu’s eyes widened and he gasped, only slightly playing up his feelings. “You can’t mean that! But… but cuddles!”

“Then I hope you can refrain from teasing me for the rest of the movie.”

“Alright, I promise,” he pouted, hanging his head. He stretched his arms out to her, and weakly grabbed at the empty air. Naoto rolled her eyes with a smile and fell into his arms, snuggling into her large, human-shaped pillow. “Ah… So cute.”

She glared at him, and he held up his hand, grinning. “Just an observation!”

---

The movie eventually came to an end, and Naoto predicted her boyfriend would resume his childish teasing once more. Honestly, she had no idea why he found her blushing face so ‘cute,’ but she knew any argument about the topic would just lead to him calling her ‘even cuter.’ She rolled her eyes at the thought, refusing to ever let him know how much those words meant to her.

Naoto Shirogane would take that secret to her grave. She would never admit she liked being called cute by her boyfriend. As Naoto made promises the universe would never allow her to keep, Yu changed the channel to a TV show. A concert was playing, and both of the young adults smiled as they saw Rise singing on stage.

“We should call Rise and Kanji and talk about doing a double date,” the silverette commented aloud.

“That would be nice. Perhaps we can contact Chie and Yosuke-senpai and make it a triple date,” Naoto suggested. She knew she didn’t have to refer to Chie and Yosuke with such honorifics, they had both stressed that multiple times, but she was just used to it at this point.

“Yeah. And maybe Yukiko and Teddie! Though, I guess at that point it’d just be us all hanging out together again,” Yu chuckled, before noticing Naoto’s confused stare. “What?”

“Why would Yukiko and Teddie come together?”

“Because Teddie’s been in love with her since they met?”

“I understand that Teddie was infatuated with her, but I thought he was interested in Nanako now.”

Yu’s eyes widened, and Naoto immediately tasted regret on her tongue. “What?” he slowly uttered.

“Nothing...?”

“No, not nothing. What do you mean he likes my little sister?!”

“I thought it was obvious!” she replied, lifting her hands up.

Yu shook his head and watched Rise continue to sing and dance on stage. He bit the inside of his cheek. “No. No way. He likes Yukiko, right?” Naoto didn’t have a chance to respond as her boyfriend began to turn red and slowly break down. “What about the age difference? There’s a huge age difference between them!”

“It isn’t so bad,” Naoto commented, thinking aloud. “My own parents were actually fifteen years apart in age. As you grow older, I feel-”

“Wait, so there is a chance they could get together?!” Yu gawked.

“W-well, after Nanako graduates, she will probably begin dating, and she has always seemed very close to Teddie, and…” Yu reached towards the ground and picked up his coat. “What are you doing?”

“I think I’m going to go to Inaba, and punch Teddie in the face and tell him he isn’t putting a bear claw on my little sister.”

“Senpai, stop. Wait!” Naoto sighed, grabbing her boyfriend’s arm. “Calm down. This is all just speculation. Why don’t we change the subject?” Her hands fell on his shoulders and he began to gently rub the skin with her thumbs. In a rare switch, he was the one who melted in her hands. “There… See? Relax…”

“Ah… Thank you. You’re right. I’m sorry. It’s just whenever I think about Nanako getting a boyfriend, I get… You know,” he sighed.

“No wonder you were given the title ‘Sister Complex King,’” Naoto muttered.

Yu froze, before turning his head to look at his girlfriend. She cleared her throat. “Just relax, Senpai,” she gently whispered, massaging his shoulders.

---

After defusing the bomb that was her boyfriend, Naoto and Yu resumed watching Rise’s concert. The detective wasn’t a particular fan of the idol’s pop music, though she did appreciate that the singer was touching on other genres after her return.

Rise was singing a gentle, bittersweet ballad when Yu thought aloud, “How has there not been a movie about you?”

“Excuse me?”

“A movie of you. Naoto Shirogane and the Mystery of Inaba, or something,” he declared, holding his hand out as if to present a title. “Think about it. We could get Rise to help. She’s been trying to get more serious movie roles lately. And Yukari! We can talk to her about playing Rise, and Rise to play you.”

Naoto knew her boyfriend was just trying to mess with her. Despite that, she chuckled and looked at him. “Oh? And who would I play?”

“I love you, Naoto, but you have no acting ability. No, I think Rise should play you.” Yu nodded his head. “We’ll get Kanji to play me.”

The sleuth rolled her eyes, a smile on her lips. “Ridiculous.”

“I think we have a real chance at having a cinematic universe with this idea. The Shirogane Universe.”

Naoto shook her head as the show went to commercial. The two saw a woman sitting on a couch with a familiar face, and Naoto’s smile fell into a scowl. Yu looked at the boy sitting on their TV, and he held back a long sigh.

The incident from that cafe just hours ago was still fresh in their minds as the host grinned. “Don’t miss out my show after Risette’s concert where I interview the next Detective Prince, Goro Akechi.”

“Hrm.” Naoto stolet the remote from Yu’s hand and turned off the channel.

He blinked, glancing at her and the dark screen. Memories of their time Cafe Leblanc came back to him, and he cleared his throat. “You okay?”

“I’m fine,” she replied.

“You don’t sound fine…” She didn’t reply, her eyes focused on her reflection in the television screen. Naoto, can I ask what it is about Goro that bothers you so much? I know the difference between annoyed and actually upset Naoto. We don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to, but it might help.”

Like a switch, Yu went from silly jokester to a concerned friend. It was an easy shift for him, of course, because Naoto knew both sides were still him. He was worried about her, and she sighed in defeat.

“It’s immature. Just me being childish…”

“Naoto,” his voice was heavy with concern.

She took a deep breath, knowing what he was about to say. “I’m sorry,” she apologized. “It’s just… He reminds me too much of who I was, or perhaps, who I could have been.”

Yu raised his brow and once again, Naoto found herself opening herself to him. “Before I came to Inaba, I was considered… arrogant by many of my peers. I kept others at a professional distance, and sometimes I could be rather cold to others. I had little opinion of others my age.”

“I remember. You called us all idiots when we went drinking together,” Yu chuckled, and the memory pulled on the corner of her lips, almost making her smile.

“Yes, well… I only turned out as well as I did thanks to my grandfather. Some nights I worry about who I would have been if I did not have him in my life to influence me. Then, at other times, I find myself terrified of who I would be if I didn’t have you and the others… I’m not sure who I would be if I never met you...”

Naoto pulled her knees to her chest and she hugged her legs close to her. She buried her head between her legs as she let out a heavy sigh.

“Goro Akechi presents himself as an arrogant child with something to hide. That concerns me for multiple reasons, but I find him irritating because of how much he resembles me when I was that young…” Naoto’s stomach felt heavy with disgust, and she closed her eyes.

“Hey.” Yu wrapped his arms around and he squeezed her tightly, gently kissing her cheek. “It’s okay… I understand. But you can see that you’re not him, right?” He kissed her cheek again, and moved around her until they were face to face.

“You are smart, and you have every right to be confident in your abilities, but part of the reason I love you is because how you use those gifts, and how you’ve learned to open up to others. I love how you push yourself to be better, not just as a detective, but as a person.”

Naoto found herself smiling at his words, before looking down at their hands. He was holding hers with a smile on his face. “You’re not him. You’re you. And I love you.”

The sleuth blushed at his words, before chuckling. Actually, it was more of a giggle, a sound Yu turned red at the sound of. How he loved that sound.

“What’s so funny?”

“It’s nothing, it’s just… You’re Yu.” There was a pause, before the two began to laugh, snickering and giggling like children at the joke. Maybe it wasn’t that funny, but their laughter was infectious, a wonderful cycle that left both of them laughing as they hugged one another.

---

Naoto blinked, stifling a yawn as she rolled her shoulders. She felt her pillow shift under her body, before she wiped the sleep from her eyes and realized she wasn't on a pillow. Her boyfriend laid under her, sound asleep.

She looked at the window and she saw the night sky. She glanced at the TV and saw it was playing some documentary about animals in Africa. The two must have fallen asleep at some point.

Naoto was ready to go back to sleep, but her navy eyes stayed on her boyfriend. She smiled at him, and began to gently stroke his silver hair, feeling the threads between her fingers. He didn’t react, his lips parted slightly as he quietly breathed in and out.

Her boyfriend was truly amazing. He was everything she needed. A good man who pushed her to try new things, while never overstepping his boundaries. He would never force her to do something she didn’t want to. Never judge her for inability to do something. He was kind, and he was happy, and that happiness filled the void her life once had.

And while she never liked focusing on it, he was rather easy on the eyes. Handsome. Dashing. Almost like a prince from a fairy tale.

And her, with true love’s kiss...

Naoto’s face burned red as she reached for her hat. All she found was her hair. She cursed her imagination for betraying her, before looking up and down Yu’s slumbering body. He snored quietly, clearly asleep…

She leaned down to steal a kiss from his lips… His lips were soft, yet so warm that she melted at the touch. Naoto pressed her lips against his, closing her eyes as she let the sensation carry her away.

The young woman would never want to admit it, but she was addicted to the feel of his lips. The taste, the texture, everything about him made her fall deeper and deeper in love with him. She sucked on his bottom lip, softly pulled on it, before licking it.

She had a problem, and the only way she could satisfy her hunger was to have a taste. Naoto was too embarrassed to instigate anything while he was awake, but to steal a passionate kiss every now and again…

Of course, half the time it always led to something more intimate, and Naoto would be lying if she said she didn’t hope tonight would be the same.

Yu’s tongue slipped out of his mouth and into her, smacking against her tongue. She gasped, leaning back as the silverette opened a single eye. He grinned at her, as she blushed scarlet.

“I-” Yu didn’t care for his girlfriend’s excuse or to hear her denial. He placed a hand on her butt, feeling the firm roundness, and the other hand on her chest, feeling her large breast in his hand. She burned even hotter as he kissed her again, pushing his tongue into her mouth.

The beautiful detective moaned in surprise, her eyes widening at the wet touch. She tasted his sweet saliva, before closing her eyes and melting into the kiss, returning the passion. Naoto couldn’t resist him sometimes… She loved him so much her heart felt like it would exploded, and rather than bottle it up, she embraced it.

They laid on the bed together, their hands groping and squeezing each other. Her hands were on his shoulders, pulling him deeper into the kiss as his his hands roamed over her body. They squeezed her plump rear, they caressed their way up her back, before slipping down to massage her bosom.

The couple moved as one, rolling on the bed together until Yu was on top of her, pinning her down. They broke the kiss, both in need of air. They stared into each other’s eyes, smiles forming on their faces.

“I love you,” she moaned.

“I love you more,” he replied with a smile.

His hands continued to press against her chest, feeling the outline of her bra. She gave a nod, begging him to continue, and he obeyed. With practiced skill, Yu began to unbutton Naoto’s top. One by one the buttons became undone, before he opened her blouse up to see her bra-covered bosom.

“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered. He was breathless, in awe of her gorgeous body. “So damn sexy…”

Naoto hated to admit, but she loved it when he called her that. When he talked about her body, when he whispered sweet nothings about her beauty and her looks… It was vain, she admitted, but she loved it.

“Thank you,” she muttered, her lips curving into a smile. “P-please. Don’t stop,” she urged.

And he obeyed her. His silver eyes glanced down her body, staring at her voluptuous frame and the black bra that covered her chest. She was beautiful. Age had done her well. She was fit, but far from bulky. Smooth and shapely…

Yu placed his hands on her bare stomach, gently massaging and caressing her smooth skin. She melted in his hands, quietly moaning as his fingers dug into her skin. His thumbs made circles on her skin as he slowly went up her body, landing on her bra-covered breasts.

He smiled at his Detective Prince, and she opened her eyes to gaze into his silver pools.

“I love you,” he whispered.

She took long, hungry breaths, before whispering back, “Show me how much.”
