I Upgraded CLIP STUDIO PAINT to 2.0

Hello everyone!   Today I've just bought and upgraded my Clip Studio Paint to version 2.0, a one-time purchase license.

I think that it is important to make a post to inform every patron who comes for brushes that you will also need to upgrade your Clip Studio Paint to 2.0 for the best experience with my custom brushes starting from this month's set. (March 2023 set and now on) ( ´• ω •`  )

Right now I've just purchased it as a one-time license without an update pass included. So, you will be able to use my brushes without unwanted problems either with/without an update pass, as CSP can always run the brushes made by its older version nicely.

And that's what I want to inform everyone at this time!

Updating software is sure annoying I know! But I think this CSP 2.0 is cool enough to get my money. What actually got my interest is not the shading assist or funny color blending. It's this multiple-layer Liquify! (˶ᗒᗨᗕ˶)ﻭ・*

I appreciate you clarifying! I'll have to figure out what works best for now. Thanks!

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I haven't tried what the brushes from 2.0 will be like when used by the older version of CSP. As I have heard, the brushes will lack functions that exist in the newer version if they have one in them. Which can result in they don't work the way they should. I don't like how they do with the upgrade/updates like this as well. But I decided to upgrade it anyway. So, please consider and plan it carefully!

I must admit that I've gotten confused on how the licenses work. I heard they were changing it to monthly subscription like adobe. But is the one time purchase upgrade, well, one time or might I end up stuck with a product I can't afford to keep using due to monthly fees? And will the brushes still at least work for the old version just maybe not as fluidly or should I wait until I can afford the upgrade?

Seems like it requires a credit card… and i somehow voided my upgrade discount trying to clear the checkout to try later. so now im trying to get that back.

I bought the one-time purchase upgrade and I didn't seem to have trouble with the purchase. ( • ω •` ; )

Porforever

Did you have any trouble purchasing the upgrade? I tried with a prepaid and it kept getting declined.

TheAuraKing

Just only some of the new features that I enjoy in 2.0 but still worth the price for me I can say! (=^꒳^=)

Porforever

SAME!!! I'm loving all the new features!

Thank you

From my understanding, you will need to purchase the one-time license of 2.0 OR purchase the upgrade CSP to 2.0 first. Then after your CSP becomes 2.0, you may subscribe for an update pass if you need future updates that are not coming yet.

Porforever

Haha, totally! The upgrade price is not that high when thinking about how much I could make money with this software so far for those funny unused features. But yes, this upgraded tool is just a MUST-HAVE!

Porforever

Who cares about the slight change in that color-blending method? Liquify is a win!

At first, I was like...yeah, probably gonna wait this out, but I saw that one. Okay, that's a good feature. XDD

Do you know if you need both the update pass and the one time purchase or is one or the other the same thing

Multiple-layer Liquify lmao 😂. I imagine you looking at all the different upgrades with a straight face going "meh..", then seeing the liquify and just gasping with joy "shut up and take my money!" lmaooo
