Hip stabilizers

Hello!

Here is a movement series taught to me by my physiotherapist. The focus is on stabilizing the femur within the hip socket, which helps to reduce cartilage wear and tear during all the wild range of motion things we do with our bodies!

You will need a long resistance band that you can either make into a loop, or already has loops, or three mini bands looped together, and something sturdy to attach to (ie a door, pole, or piano in my case)

These aren’t large movements, and remember to keep them out of your low back! You want to be feeling them in your glutes and all the muscles wrapping around your hips. I also feel quite a bit in my legs, so you might feel that, too.

I talk a bit in the video but you should be able to get these exercises done in about six minutes, so they are easy to work into your own training routine.
