Conversational bliss

A complaint I have had since probably the first release is that sometimes it's hard to know who is talking at a glance. Of course you could just read the nameplate, but few people pay that much attention and would like to know at a glance. With that in mind I have made a few updates.

A some things to take note of in this image. First of all the names are much bolder and each characters name is a slightly different colour so it should be easy on the eye to notice a different person is speaking than from previously. Second, which is not really noticeable in a still screenshot, is that the talking character image is slightly highlighted when they are speaking. In this case, Dani is slightly more saturated and brighter. The effect is subtle but when in game and people are speaking, it is more apparent.

Image above shows a new feature I added for the time changes to happen over time instead of instantly. So here we can see the night fading and the dawn about to arrive. A small thing but something I have been meaning to do for a while.

Something that has been annoying me for ages is the nurse at the start of the game. It is one of the earlier characters I did while I was still pretty bad at the whole art thing. It seems a shame to subject new players to some of my earliest artwork so I decided to change that. Goodbye nurse Camilla and hello nurse Lilly (I changed her name because "nurse Camilla" is a long name and kept going off the nameplate. Silly reason I know...)

New shops have also been added and some changes made. First of all a naughty clothing shop as well as a tattoo parlour has been added to the Revel backstreets. This includes the option to turn body writing into actual tattoos.

Additionally discounts have been added. Clothes from the market will now randomly be 0-50% cheaper, but still relies on your RNG to find something nice. People like the lake dealer will also give a discount based on doing a sex act with him and Jaylee will give you a discount just because she likes you.

New build. After this post is done, I will be preparing a new build, so expect it in a few hours or so if you read soon after posting.
