How do I exhibitionism?

Since I released a build yesterday, there isn't really anything for me to talk about that you haven't already seen. So I will talk about exhibitionism, my ideas and hopefully get some good feedback or ideas in the process.

So from my research, there is generally two types of exhibitionism. The "I am so scared but this is kind of exciting" type and the totally bold "hey come and look, do you like what you see" type.

Considering the type of game The Fixer is, I don't think keeping Sammy totally shy throughout the entire game makes sense (unless maybe if she is a Bambi) so we will probably be seeing a lot more of the bold type of exhibitionism (think something like flash camping).

ideas are obvious things like running around the park naked, exposing yourself to strangers, purpose wardrobe malfunctions and bus rides while exposed.

But I really do want to have some build up with Rachel and push heavy on the more shy style exhibitionism. You have already seen some of the early dares you give each other. This will of course expand out to the streets, the park and probably the bus. During these events, Sammy will be totally out of her depth. Even if she is a slut, walking around nude or near nude will still be a new experience for her, so I will have a lot of dialogue to reflect that.

A big question though is how do I deal with Sammy walking around naked before she has the exhibitionist trait. I don't want to restrict the wardrobe and forbid players wanting to do what they want to, but at the same time allowing Sammy to walk around naked on day 1 eventually waters down the whole exhibitionist chain. Being dared to walk around the school at the dead of night kind of doesn't really matter if your Sammy has already been getting the bus totally naked.

Ideas and thoughts would be good, as I haven't had much feedback regarding exhibitionist content in The Fixer so far.

I think now would be time to put in at least the beginning of a crime system. For now it could be very basic, if Sam is naked in public, after a little bit of time it will be highly likely the police will show up to find out what the commotion is about. To begin with could be a simple bribe with favors (money or sex) or get sent for an overnight stay in jail. They’ll give her a basic outfit (hospital gown could work) and charge her for the courtesy (if she has any money). To keep this from being too punishing if she is attacked (left naked and tired), Add an option to ‘find clothes’ called ‘find something to cover up with’. This takes about 5 minutes and will produce some trash clothes that will fall apart again in 30 minutes or when she reaches a wardrobe. Perhaps a cardboard box or trash bag dress. On to the fun part, to be safe, Sam should start someplace more private like the school at night with Rachel avoiding the security guard. Do this enough and she’ll learn how to do the same in secluded places like the park at night while avoiding the polices’ notice. Eventually she’ll learn streaking and can stash her clothes someplace and run naked through the market during daytime. I’m suggesting this because it adds something external to Sam instead of her just saying to the player “No.” It can also be used in addition to perks around her personality, so she has to both want to and know how to safely.

It's a role-playing game, right? So it's unrealistic to have Sammy just start out as a nudist. Maybe she dresses risque to begin with, but I have no problem with her having to go through a story arc to unlock exposing herself. There are degrees of exhibitionism, anyway. Showing off, being the center of attention at the lighter end, scaling up to things like not wearing underwear but not being obvious about it, to wearing a skirt without panties, thin tube tops with obvious nipple points, then mini- and micro-skirts with and without panties, flimsy tops with and without a bra, and finally nudism or such minimal attire as to highlight the lack of more (eg gloves, socks, belt, choker, jewelry, but nothing else).

Hey Sam, one of my favorite games so far, its been a while since I played the game for the first time and I just joined your Patreon. Im sorry if I dont write/explain myself well, as english isnt my first language. I do have a couple of suggestions: 1) For the new all body ligerie, bodysuit, etc. You could put them on a split button along with the dresses as they are both full body. 2) You could also move the color tabs/buttons into the side along the color palette and you could divide it into color 1 and color 2 and then the color palette below. 3) I read that you where unsure on how to handle the body fitness model, you could make a combination of both the previous version and the current one, into one which is more to your liking. 4) Returning to the exhibitionism topic on this thread, I do believe that the approch mentioned by some of the other users is interesting and could work for the game, first of all, you could make the trait an incrementing stat, and then handle sammys skill checks against clothing exposed/exposing value. Along with the incrementing stat/trait you could add different stages. And making use of the already exhibitionist trait which is choosable from the start, it could be an advantage (like a 100/255 points) to the grind of the stat. 5) Following part of the theme of the game, sammy could already have maxed out the exhibitionist stat, and then the story could be presented as either sammy acting "innocent" (or not) to corrupt her friends/Rachel. 6) If you want to maintain the sandbox feel, adding the option to the cheat menu or settings, is an interesting choice as some other users said. Im under the same opinion that a slowly grinding of the stat is more interesting gameplay wise, and having sammy refuse to wear certain clothes or expose against the player desicion is interesting. There will always be a difference between following the story and what the player wants, especially if you are trying to have a sandbox feel as well. I fee the issue of wanting to allow the story to progress the exhibitionism or any other paths/kinks is definitely something that should be pursued. So my idea of a solution is to have it be a toggle. Develop the plan that would lock a player from leaving the house on day 1 completely naked and have the story unlock that ability, but for those that want to see what would happen, just toggle this off in the settings by having an "anything goes" mode that would disable/enable all story driven blocks on what outfits, actions, or responses Sammy could take.

Hey Sam, really enjoying play your game. I've got one thing that I would like to ask and two, a threefold suggestion. . One, and this is my curiosity, why isn't the Sammy avatar full body? I was wondering if it's an issue with the way Ren'py works or an artistic decision. Second a threefold suggestion. If you make your Sammy a whore, have a tab in wardrobe to have whore clothing. The second would be while servicing your customers in street walk mode Sammy would only disrobe her bottoms. Realize that this would be an issue with the one-piece clothing, possibly have a work around of some sort for this? I'm thinking that this would give the feeling of get it done asap and move onto the next. The third would be for pink room. While advertising Sammy would be dressed in her "whore" outfit unless you went exhibitionist or want to go nude. For the sex cg's, if Sammy is wearing stockings as part of her "whore" outfit while advertising have them on during the cg. The reason I suggested the whore stuff is I've been doing some research on prostitution for a game I might be making myself and watched some SFW videos of interviews of streetwalkers and "Window girls" (the girls that stand in the windows of the red-light district of Amsterdam) which is where I think you got the idea for the pink room or could be from the love hotels in Japan. From what I gathered from the video's that I watched this is common practice for them. Well the "window girls" the client can choose for the girl to keep the stockings on or remove them for sex. I realize that these suggestions would create a lot of work for you because you would have to draw all the cg's and for the avatar.

Hi, on android version there are immages missing for new outfits, bugs with waitress uniform - if you have exhibition perk and try to check panties once in dresser, than go to pub and start work, the game crashes - cannot put waiterss thong... etc. Not a big deal... i have to check the Win to ensure its also not happening there.

When it comes to starting out, I can see her "refusing" to do what the player wants, or doing some auto pilot things similar to sometimes her going to the school showers to strip down. Maybe her deciding to hide in the bushes, or the alley, which could also possibly have a chance encounter with people (similar to being stuck in the AC shaft or cleaning the bathrooms).

Wardrobe malfunctions, have some clothes capable of accidents. Skirts and dresses issues with wind, shirts going see through in the rain or after spillages, swim suits gaining transparency when wet, yawning when tired. Just to get the ball rolling with the whoops I'm on display.

I think it'd be better to have some requirement before you can actually start running around naked and all that. In my experience, it feels better to slowly build up to full nudity and see the progress of your character, even if it sounds restrictive to the player. Perhaps a setting to enable said requirement could work in that it can feel natural the way you want it to, but still allows players to get right to the content they want.

You could take some inspiration from Degrees of Lewdity. Where exhibitionism is a stat that you build up over time, otherwise your character will be embarrassed, covering themselves and developing negative mood traits (this way you can please the ENF fans) and when she builds enough confidence through doing events with Rachel (maybe some other characters as well, like dares for the Football boys or just casually hanging out nude with Robin gaming together or something). You could have Sammy eventually grow into a more confident streaker. You could even have an in-between phase where she gains arousal while being naked ontop of having negative effects from feeling shame.

Hi, *DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS* To enter the school at night you have to be friendly with the soccer boys. They'll eventually ask you to their afternoon hangout and after a while they'll tell you about the way to get in at night. You have to play with them regularly and for a while.

I think it's totally fine to have Sammy refuse to dress certain ways until she's worked herself up to it. We don't expect a non-gamine Sammy to whore herself out right away, so there's no reason to expect a non-exhibitionist Sammy to be able to strip naked. I personally think that being able to unlock more outfits (or dress less) is a nice progression mechanism and feeds naturally into increasing the attractiveness stat. There's a reason why RPGs usually have level or stats requirements for equipping gear and you can't put yourself in endgame gear right away.

How do you start the Exhibitionism with Rachel? It says something about the Gymnasium at night but I'm not able to enter the school at night, so I'm not sure about what to do

When I started a new playthrough with the current version, I had to be careful with the transparency settings. I liked that the game "made me" not expose Sammy, since it would not have fit for her to just be fine with it. But then I had to pick a trait for her and chose Exhibitionist, because I just like to dress her in transparent clothes. With the exhibitionism quest chain, I think the trait needs to be locked behind it. Or rather, the chain should reward it. Additionally, it might be an idea to bind the clothes transparency setting to the trait (lock it until Sammy has the trait), but then enable it for ALL clothes (I'm still a bit annoyed that most skirts cannot be transparent ;) ).

I agree, perhaps a return of the need to be more daring before being allowed to dress lewdly is needed?

I like the idea of Sammy keeping herself conservative without the adjoining traits. It helps if your trying to do more of a pure run. Alternatively a "forgetful" trait can circumvent it, and be used for other things. For instance aside from forgetting a minor article of clothing, it opens the option for adding a mechanic for automatic pill consumption and thus forgetting to take them at certain points. Also having a dialogue and preventing the player from moving in or to certain areas if she's to exposed can also prevent misclicks.
