Into The Game: Chell (TG-Empress)

I couldn't believe my eyes! I held in my hands a ticket to the biggest video game convention of the year! It was truly a dream come true! I wasn’t able to get tickets, so I entered a competition for a chance to win a ticket and I won.

I was so excited, but because I won the day before the convention I had to pack quickly and drive overnight just to make use of it, but after a long night I arrived at the parking garage right next to the convention.

I didn’t get the chance to book a hotel room, so I’ll be sleeping in my car for the entire trip, but it was a small price to pay. The convention was just opening up when I arrived, so to avoid the massive crowd, I decided to get some sleep so I could fully enjoy the event later.

I slept until noon and I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to have fun. I go into the back seat of my car and open my suitcase. I was planning to wear my Gordan Freeman cosplay, but it seemed I made a mistake when packing.

I grabbed my girlfriend's Chell costume from the game portal. I was a bit disappointed because I worked hard to make my costume, but on the bright side, I’m the same size as my girlfriend, so I can wear her costume and still dress up for the event.

I know Chell is a girl, and these are technically girl clothes, but Chell is a total badass when it comes to video games and a character that everyone can enjoy whether they’re female or male, something in between, or none of those things.

So I put on the costume, from the white tank top to the orange jumpsuit and finally the long fall boots. Since I grabbed the wrong costume I didn’t grab the prop portal gun my girlfriend had bought, but It was still easy to tell who I was in the costume.

I left my car and headed to the convention. I got in pretty quickly due to coming in later which was good, I don’t do so well in large crowds. I went around looking through the shops, though I didn’t have the money to spend on super experience merch, I still loved seeing all the cool stuff they made.

After browsing for an hour, I decided to go get something to eat. To save money I head out of the convention and go to one of the hotdog cards. Two hotdogs and a soda for five bucks was an amazing deal.

I sat outside on a wall eating and that's when I saw two people walking over to me, and they were wearing costumes from Portal. One was P-Body and the other was Atlas. They asked me if I was able to join them for a group costume contest.

They needed three people to enter, and they couldn't find another Chell. I was a bit nervous but agreed to join them. One of them was carrying an extra portal gun so they let me borrow it for a while.

It was pretty cool and we looked great as a group. We entered the competition, but didn’t win, but came in fifth which was still cool. I did try to give back the portal gun before we split up, but the guys just got my number and said they’d grab it later.

I thanked them and went off on my own. I ended up in the back of the convention where rooms were set up with video games to play. I walked around for a while looking for something to play and low and behold what game I found was already loaded up.

Portal 2, and it was at the start. It had been a while since my last playthrough, and I figured it would be fun to play for a bit. I was getting really into it, and even speedrunning a bit since I knew all the solutions already.

After an hour, I figured I’d call it quits and let someone else have a turn, but as I stood up I heard a loud explosion come from somewhere on the other side of the convention. The lights and electronics all around me started to flash and I could hear a strange humming noise.

The people around me were silent and looking towards the door wondering if they should be worried, that is when some sort of energy wave passed through the walls and passed through all of us. Moments later I felt weak and extremely tired.

I fell down to the floor, and my back landed on the pc I had been using. I tried to keep myself awake, but my eyelids got heavier and heavier until I was out cold. When I woke up, there was a voice coming from the ceiling.

It asked me to perform a mandatory physical and mental wellness exercise. I was still disoriented

and a bit confused about what was going on, but I just did as it ordered me to do. Before I knew it I passed out again, waking up to a knock at the door.

When I got up, I got a sense of deja vu. Then he came popping in through the door. Wheatley the goddamn blue eyes ball. He came in using the rail built in the ceiling and I just watched him speechless as he talked.

He then said something about having brain damage or something, and then the room started to move and fall apart. The room we were in moved up then to the side, then smashed through a wall, and eventually, I landed in a glass box, one with a table and toilet.

This was the first moment I had since I woke up to process what was going on. Where was I, and why the hell was it themed like Portal 2? I walked over to the edge of the container I was in and got a glimpse of myself.

I was still wearing basically the same thing I was wearing when I passed out, but there was something very different about me, mainly that I was a woman, who had long brown hair, and a pair of breasts.

Which was different than before when I was a man with short black hair and no breasts. I pressed my hands against them to see if I was dreaming, but they felt real, almost exactly like how my girlfriends felt in my hands, plus the new sensation of having them grabbed added.

I looked around, I had no idea what was going on, but what I did know was that I somehow ended up in the portal world, and I somehow ended up in it as its main character Chell. That meant I was in a lot of danger, as a not-so-friendly Glados was deactivated around her somewhere.

A portal suddenly opened up behind me, one that led out of the glass box I was in. I walked through it and I’ll admit I was a bit giddy to actually be able to do so, but then I got serious again. I knew what was going to happen, and If I was trapped in this world I had to stop it.

I ran through the first two levels solving the puzzles, and then I found it, the portal gun. It was broken and only shot one of the blue portals, but it was all I needed to get to Glados. I solve a few more levels and make it to the part where Wheatley detaches.

I let him hit the floor and complain a bit, mostly because I knew he was going to betray me shortly. We go up to Glados and wake her up, and then before I can even talk to her she sends us off to do more testing.

I continued through the levels and came up with a game plan. I’m in another world, and if I have any chance to get back, it’ll be here and using the tech they have, but I won't be able to do that with the current Glados or with power-hungry Wheatley.

So my best chance to ask for help is after the PotatOS section. I have to convince her to help me before she deletes Caroline, if she doesn't or can’t help me, at the very least I’ll get the hell away from here and these crazy tests, and then I’ll come up with a new plan.
