Christian had the day off and was spending it in the city checking out all the cool and unique stores when he came across a store where the owner not only sold marionette puppets but also handcrafted and repaired them.

It was a bit of an oddity, marionettes definitely weren't all that popular nowadays, but Christian was interested and he could tell just by looking at the ones in the display window, that they were masterfully crafted.

Christian decided to go inside but stopped at the door. There wasn’t a sign on the building with the name of the shop only on the door, so this was his first time seeing the name of the place. “Alexander’s puppet playhouse.”

Christian laughed, it was a bit childish, but a pretty good name. Christian walked inside and found a crowd of people sitting by a small wooden theater, and inside it was a pair of marionettes dancing around.

They were putting on a puppet show, which was cool. Christian went over and sat with the crowd to watch. Christian immediately noticed that most of the crowd was made up of older people, with only a couple of children among them.

It made sense but was a little unsettling. Christian turned his focus towards the puppets and watched the show. Most of it was nonsense and jokes, and it seemed the puppet show was more for showing off the puppeteer's skills in moving them, rather than acting as them.

Christian watched for about twenty minutes before getting bored and getting up to leave, that’s when the puppeteer brought out a new marionette for the show. Christian quickly sat back and focused his attention on her.

He had no idea why, but that doll felt like the most beautiful thing he’d ever laid his eyes on. The longer he watched her dance around in her frilly dress, with her twin's tails spinning around, the more he knew he had to have her.

So after the show was over Christian went up to Alexander and asked about the doll, and then asked if he could buy it. Alexander told Christian that he was glad he found an interest in his creation, but unfortunately, the one he liked was the first one he ever made.

So it wasn’t for sale. That disappointed Christian and normally he’d just say okay and leave, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the puppet. He had to have it, no matter what it took. So he left the shop pretending to understand.

He walked around the city until it was dark, then he came back to check up on the shop. Once the owner was gone and the lights were out, Christian went around the building to the back door. The building was old, so Christian hoped the back door was as well.

As he hoped, he found a raggedy wooden door that only had a lock on the handle, not even a deadbolt. Christian let out a slightly evil laugh. This would make breaking in easy, as all he had to do was slip his credit card through the door.

He also felt a bit bad. It was likely like this because Alexander never thought anyone would steal from him, and really thinking about it, it was really strange that Christian was doing this just for what was basically a doll, but there was just something special about it.

Christian goes to unlock the door, and to his surprise, it isn’t even locked. He smirked to himself and slowly opened the door. He slowly walked inside and looked around the door for some sort of alarm system.

Again surprisingly there was no security. This building was completely unprotected and ripe for the picking. Now all Christian had to do was find the doll that called to him so much he was willing to commit several crimes just to have her.

Finding her was going to take a while, as it was very dark, the place was unorganized as hell, and there were a lot of marionettes around. Christian got to work looking for the right marionette, completely distracting him from what was going on around him.

Had he been paying attention to himself or even the overall room, he’d have noticed several strings appearing out of the ceiling. One by one they made their way over to him, extended down, and attached themselves to a part of his body.

With each one that connected to him came a change. The first one connected to his head, and the changes that came with it were his hair changing to purple and growing out into two long twin tails, and his face had become completely feminized.

The second and third ones attached to his shoulders. The second one made him shorter, thinner and gave him doll joints. The third one changed his clothes and removed his manhood. So now Christian was a woman, and she was now wearing a super cute frilly dress.

Still, though she was too busy looking for that puppet she just had to have, not knowing she was on her way to becoming one. The fourth sting came down and attached to Christian's right hand, which she noticed right away.

Christian started shaking her hand trying to get it off, and that's when the string’s change occurred. The fourth string had grown breasts on Christian’s chest, while also removing her ability to speak, as she quickly found out as she tried to scream for help.

Christian began trying to pull the sting off, and that’s when she noticed the others, along with all the other changes to her body. She poked her open joints and felt her heart drop. She was becoming a doll, a puppet to be strung.

She started making her way to the door in hopes of escaping before it was too late, but the four strings attached to her all pulled back at once, pulling her back hard enough to make her fall on the floor.

Then as she lay there dazed the fifth string came down and grabbed her other hand, and with it, the last of her transformation. The fifth string turned Christian’s entire body into wood and shrank her down to a mere fourteen inches tall.

Because her body was made of wood, she was now unable to move on her own, so she continued to lay helpless on the floor. Christian could only look up at the strange strings coming out of the ceiling and wonder what the hell was going on.

After a minute of nothing happening, the stings pull Christian off of the ground. They then made her dance around and do a few things, almost like they were testing her to make sure she was in working order.

Christian was cursing at the strings, and demanding they let her go and change her back, but of course, a puppet like her can’t talk without the help of a real person, so all of it was just in her head and no one but she could hear it.

After she seemingly passed the tests, Christian was pulled across the store to a display cabinet. The door to the cabinet opened on its own and Christian was pushed inside. Seconds later the stings started to retract into Christian, and along with them came the control bar.

The control bar magically secured itself above her head in the display box and then the whole thing closed, locking Christian inside and leaving her on display as some sort of object to be sold, and there was nothing she could do about it.

Hours go by with Christian trying to call for help, and finally, someone arrives, but it is Alexander the owner of the shop, and the person Christian tried to rob. Alexander walks in, turns the lights on, and imminently notices the open back door.

He then quickly turns his head towards the display boxes and Christian. Christian watches as he grins and starts to walk over to her. He places his hand on the box and jokingly asks what's going on here.

He then calls Christian beautiful and says she’ll make an excellent addition to his collection. He even creepily says he can’t wait to break her in or oil her up. As he steps away to prepare his store for opening, he looks at Christian and says the following, “Welcome to the family, Melody.”
