Chaos' first monthly commission for October 2024
Finley and Kody were making their way through an abandoned mine after they discovered an old treasure map that claimed to have hidden an item deep within the mine capable of granting any wish.
Most people would think it was a joke or pure nonsense, but this wasn’t the duo's first time tracking down a magical item, so they were slightly less skeptical than the average person. The mine they were in was massive, and it took two whole days to reach the area they needed.
Once they did, it took another day of mining and digging to find the box that held the magic item. Finley had been the one to hit it with his pick. He pulled it out and then called for Kody to come help him open it.
They hacked away at the lock with their pickaxes until it broke off, and then they opened the box to find a silver lamp. It looked exactly like a genie's lamp from all the stories, but neither one had ever heard of or seen one that was silver instead of gold.
Kody took the lamp and rubbed it anyway, hoping it was in fact a genie's lamp, and his hope was well placed as moments later smoke started to spew from it, and from the smoke appeared a large genie.
The genie stretched and thanked them for letting him out after so many years. He then looked at them and told them he would now grant each of them two wishes. He then said to be careful what they wish for, as the second wish can’t reverse the first.
Kody looked annoyed and asked him why they only got two wishes instead of three. The genie pointed at the lamp and said it was because the lamp that bound him wasn’t strong enough for that; had it been gold, he would be a much more powerful genie.
That made sense to the two of them and what were the odds they could find another lamp? Two wishes were way better than none. The duo then go silent for a few minutes while they think of what to wish for.
Finley comes up with his first wish and looks at the genie. He wishes for a collar that can turn the wearer into whatever he wants. The genie nods and snaps his fingers, and instantly the collar appears in Finley’s hand.
Finley put it right on and without hesitation, tried it out, turning himself into a perfect copy of Kody. Kody was super impressed and was ready to use his wish. He asked the genie if he could make his first wish and the genie told him to speak it.
Kody then wished to be able to hypnotize anyone with just a snap of his fingers. The genie nodded and the wish was granted. Finley was curious about what he was planning to do with that wish, but then he had a thought.
Kody could now hypnotize anyone just by snapping, and this collar made it so he could become anything he wanted. Since he had already used it to become Kody, could he use the ability Kody just wished for?
Finley looked at his friend and snapped his fingers. Kody got silent and stopped moving. Finley walked around him and looked into his eyes. They looked clouded. Finley then asked if he was okay but didn’t get a response.
Finley smiled, then asked him to raise his hand; when Kody did so, Finley knew it had worked. After laughing a bit, Finley had a brilliant idea. He took off the collar; he thought when he did, he would turn back into himself, but he stayed as a copy of Kody.
Which was perfect for his idea. He then handed the collar to Kody and ordered him to put it on. Kody nodded, put the collar around his neck, and clicked it into place. Once it was on, Finley began to think again about what he wanted to turn Kody into.
He began to craft the perfect thing in his head, and once he had every detail down, he looked at Kody and told him to turn himself into a short puppy girl with short blonde hair, decent-sized breasts but not massive ones, and finally a crop top and short shorts, both of which are ripped.
Kody nodded and stood still, and seconds later she looked exactly as Finley had been imagining in his head. Finley walked around her and inspected her and was quite pleased. He then patted her on the head and told her she was a very good girl.
Finley then looked at the genie, who truly didn’t care that he just betrayed his friend. The genie was waiting to grant two more wishes, one for each of them. Finley knew he couldn't let Kody actually have her last wish, or else she might reverse what he’d done.
So he’ll have to come up with a wish and make her wish for it. After thinking there was only one thing he really needed, he ordered Kody to wish that any memory of her old life was wiped away from everyone’s memories, everyone but Finley’s.
Kody nods and looks at the genie and tells him she’s ready for her second wish. The genie sighs and tells her to speak it. Kody then wishes her old life be wiped from existence, and the genie grants the wish.
Finley waits a minute and decides to test it. He releases Kody from the hypnosis and watches as she looks around confused. Finley asks her if she’s okay. She tells him that she can’t seem to remember where she was or how she got here; she couldn't even remember who she was.
Finley laughed and then snapped his fingers again, putting her back into her hypnotic state. Finley was excited to have fun with her and his new powers. This was the best day of his life; he got a better body, an amazing ability, and a puppy girl all to himself.
Finley walked over to the lamp, picked it up, went over to Kody, and wrapped his arm around her. He then told the genie he was ready to use his second wish. The genie told him to speak it and once again warned him it was his last and that it couldn’t undo previous wishes.
Finley told him that was alright; he had no plans to do that. He merely wanted a ride. The genie looked confused but told him to speak his wish. Finley then wished that Kody, himself, and the lamp be teleported instantly back to his house.
The genie looked a bit nervous but had to grant the wish. So after snapping his fingers, Finley found himself back in his apartment. The genie then bid him farewell and reunited with his lamp. Finley was curious and tried to rub it again, but as expected, it didn’t work.
It was a bummer, but they had to make it so people couldn't have unlimited wishes, right? Too bad Finley already had a way to get around that. He already stole one wish from his former wish, and thanks to still having the lamp, he could do that whenever he wanted.
As of right now, though, he doesn't need to do that; he’s quite satisfied with the wishes he and Kody made. He decided to hide the lamp away somewhere safe; that way no one could find it and potentially use it against him.
He walked downstairs to his basement and went to his pile of boxes. All that was in there were miscellaneous items for holidays and stuff like winter clothes. It wasn't anything anyone would have any reason to go through.
He got to the box furthest in the back and opened it. He then shoved the lamp inside and covered it with clothes. He then closed the box, stacked a few more on top of it, and slid a few against it, completely hiding the box as well as the lamp inside.
With that done, he was all set to go back upstairs and have fun with his new puppy. Once he comes back upstairs, he finds Kody still sitting in the same spot she was when they were teleported here. It had to be because she was still in the hypnotic state and was waiting for commands.
Finley walked up in front of her and started thinking. Her old life was now gone; no one remembers it but Finley. That meant on the inside she was empty. She had a blank personality and it needed to be sculpted, and it was up to him to do it.
On top of that she was going to need a whole new wardrobe, a place to sleep, food, and water bowls Heck, Finley even needed to pick her out a new name, since Kody no longer exists in this world. There was a lot of work he needed to do thanks to his new puppy.
