Jasper stood in front of the mirror in her bedroom looking at the beautiful woman standing in it. She was quite beautiful, especially for a woman nearly forty years old. She still had a great figure even after three kids, and she had long beautiful black hair that nearly touched her butt.
It was a vast change from the person she was a decade ago, hell she was a much different woman than she was six years ago, life has changed so much since then since she found out she was pregnant again.
After telling her husband, the two repeated what they did the first time, telling everyone, preparing for the baby by buying new clothes, supplies, and furniture, which they got after looking and buying a new four-bedroom home.
Not long after settling into their new home, baby number two made his way into the world. Another healthy baby, this time a happy little boy they named Zain. Delivering him was easier for Jasper as she was more prepared and knew what she was doing, but home life was the opposite.
Two little ones were a lot to deal with, both were always crying, making messes, and needing her attention. Sleep was even harder to get now because Zain stayed up all night and Bella was a chaotic little child during the day.
Luckily Aunty Maggie was a big help and would hang out whenever she was free and give Jasper the time to catch up on sleep. Over time Jasper once again found herself so busy that she forgot all about her mission to become a man again.
Two years have passed since Zain was born. Bella was now in preschool, and Zain was a babbly little monster walking around on his own. While making lunch for herself and Maggie who was hanging out and playing with Zain, Maggie suggested something to Jasper.
She told her to go out for the night with Arthur since the two of them likely hadn’t had any private time in a while. Jasper looked embarrassed and said it sounded nice, but she wasn’t sure about being away from her kids, which made Maggie smile and laugh a bit.
Jasper was confused and asked what was funny. Maggie tried to say it was nothing, but Jasper pressed her and eventually got it out of her. Maggie told Jasper that it was cute how she’s embraced being a mom, and had given up, if not completely forgotten about becoming a man again.
Jasper got even redder, she completely forgot that Maggie knew about it. She was right though, Jasper had forgotten about it and had been happily living as a stay-at-home mother. Jasper slammed her hands down and proudly proclaimed she would regain her manhood.
Jasper accepted Maggie’s proposal for a night off and went to her bedroom to get ready. Maggie rolled her eyes and laughed, knowing full well what Jasper’s true feelings were at this point. That night when Arthur came home, Jasper told him the plan and the two went to a hotel for the night.
The two had dinner together in the restaurant on the main floor, went out to one of the hot tubs and soaked in the warm water to relax, and ended the night embracing each other. The next day both of them felt refreshed and life chasing around two lovely kids returned.
Four months of chaos passed after Jasper’s fun night out and with how busy and tired that she failed to notice some pretty big indications that she had once again gotten herself pregnant. She only noticed when her clothes started to feel tight.
She honestly thought she was getting fat, and blamed all the snacks she had been sharing with her kids over the last couple of months. It didn’t occur to her that the one time in the last few months when she slept with her husband he had managed to knock her up.
So after trying to eat fewer snacks and still getting fatter, she went to the doctors who revealed to her that she was once again pregnant and this time with another girl. Jasper let out an awkward smile upon hearing that news.
On one hand, this was her third child, so after she was born, Jasper would have the last condition of her curse and be able to fully break it and become a man again, but on the other hand, being pregnant and chasing after two kids under five for the next few months was going to be hard.
But this time, once it was over, it was all over. Jasper would finally break her curse and become a man again, which was what she wanted right? Jasper shook her head, it wasn't like it mattered right now, she could figure it out later.
Jasper went home and once again shared the news with her family. Arthur was a bit surprised, but like always he was supportive and happy, and so was Bella when she found out she was going to have a little sister and not just an annoying little brother.
For the third time in her life, and hopefully the last time, Jasper and Arthur told everyone the good news and began to prepare for another baby, and at this point the two of them were pros and knocked it out with ease, even on such short notice.
Five months later little baby Areli was welcomed into the world by her mother, father, sister, brother, and aunt. Jasper held her for the first time, and like every time before, she’d fallen in love with her baby the second she was in her arms.
Her heart knew she’d love her and protect her forever, even if her mind didn’t know it or wanted to admit it. Jasper was released from the hospital a week later, and for the first time since getting home, she had a moment of peace.
Maggie had taken Bella out for the day, Arthur was playing with Zain outside and Areli had finally gone to sleep. Jasper looked down at her sleeping baby and smiled, but that smile went away when she thought about her curse.
Jasper walked over to her mirror. She had finally done it, she met all the conditions to break the curse. All she had to do was wish with all her heart to be a guy again and it would happen, and not this tired woman with messy hair, throw-up on her shirt, and leaking tender breasts.
Of course, that meant abandoning her family, leaving her husband and three young children, leaving them without a mother… She couldn’t just do that, could she? Her curse wasn’t any of their fault, yet if she broke it they’d be the ones to suffer.
Jasper thought about it, even holding her chest and nearly breaking down as her emotions overwhelmed her, but then Areli woke up and started crying. Jasper jumped up, forgetting everything that concerned her a moment ago, and went to her.
She picked her up and started rocking her, and she knew then that turning back could wait at least a little while. Jasper got Areli to go back to sleep and then walked over to the window and looked out at her husband and son playing in the yard.
She smiled, what was another year or two? Well, a year or two ended up being almost four. Jasper was nearly an old woman now, had three kids who were four, six, and eight, had been married to an amazing man for almost a decade, a wonderful home, loved and was loved.
She had a life most people would dream of, which some might say she didn’t deserve after how she acted back when she was a man, yet she had it anyway. There was just one question she had that she needed to know the answer to.
Jasper closed her eyes and held her hands together. She wished to become a man again and focused on it. After a minute she opened her eyes and looked back in the mirror. There she saw the same woman she’d seen every day for the last ten years standing there.
It seemed even though she had met all the conditions to finally break the curse, she in fact didn’t sincerely with all her heart actually want to be a man again. Jasper smiled, she had a feeling this was the case and secretly hoped it was, but she had to know for sure.
This is who she was meant to be, who she is, and even though it took a decade to realize and accept that, she was still happy to have found herself here. Jasper did a twirl and looked at her nice black dress and told herself she was ready.
Jasper walked out to the living room where all her children were playing together while their father watched. Jasper saw Areli wearing a pink dress and asked Arthur what happened to the black one she was supposed to wear for the family photo.
Arthur let out a nervous laugh and said someone got it dirty by playing in the fridge. Jasper walked over and picked Areli up and spun around with her. She told Arthur it was alright, she was just as cute wearing pink.
She then asked everyone if they were ready to go. They all get into the car and head towards the photo studio. Jasper walks in with the kids while Arthur parks the car, and inside waiting is someone Jasper never expected to see.
It was Miah and she was with a nice-looking man and one kid. Miah looked at Jasper for a moment, it took her a minute but she finally recognized Jasper and was shocked. She jumped up and ran over to greet her.
Miah was surprised to see her, she honestly thought Jasper would never break the first part of the curse, never mind getting married. Miah congratulated her and looked at Areli as she asked how the last part was going for her.
Jasper let out an awkward laugh and said it was going well. Jasper then introduced Miah to her other two children. Miah said they were cute but then she looked really confused. Miah looked at Jasper and asked why she was still a woman after fulfilling all the requirements to break the curse.
Jasper didn’t say anything but she did hug Areli tighter. Miah saw that and was able to answer her own question. She smiled and told Jasper that she was happy for her, truly, even saying she completely got it as a mother herself.
Miah then introduced Jasper to her family and afterward, the two families sat together and chatted as they waited to take their family photos. Miah gave Jasper her number before she left so they could catch up sometime soon, as she really wanted to know all the details since they last talked.
Jasper was happy too, especially since it would give her the chance to apologize for being so stupid all those years ago, and then thank her for setting her on the path to such an amazing life. Once Miah was gone, it was finally time for Jasper and her family to step on up.
They all got in front of the camera, Jasper held Areli, Arthur stood next to her with one arm around her and the other around Bella, and finally, Zain stood in the middle. Once everyone was ready, the photographer snapped the pic, giving Jasper a perfect reminder of the amazing family and perfect life she ended up with, both of which she now knew she wanted with all her heart.
