Eserelda finishes up by telling Marinette that she still visits The Duchess and that The Duchess tends to send her maids to talk to her when she feels it might be time for them to fly away from the nest and do what she did.

Marinette is able to piece together why Esmerelda was telling her all this. She asked Esmerelda if that was why The Duchess sent her here today. Esmerelda nods and says she believes so. Marinette looks down quite confused.

She was going to be given the choice to stay or leave, but she really had no idea which one she wanted. Both sounded good and bad in their own ways. Esmerelda put her hand on Marinette’s shoulder and told her not to stress it so much.

The goddess would guide Marinette to the right answer, and in the end, no matter which answer it is, she’ll be even happier for it. Marinette smiled. That was true, so far the goddess hadn't let her or any of the other followers down, so it was best to have faith in her.

Esmerelda wishes Marinette the best in her decision and tells her to stop by any time. She then heads off to her office to do what she said was her main job, and Marinette goes back out to the club and enjoys herself a bit more.
