The Duchess And The Latex Manor: Pt7 (Com)

The Duchess was in her study one day when Elsa knocked on the door and asked to come in. The Duchess allowed her to come in since she knew her maids wouldn’t bother her unless it was important or she called on them.

She was spot on, as Elsa had brought her a very important letter from an old friend. It was a letter from a leader of a different branch of their religion. To be precise, it was The Headmistress. She apparently wanted to come for a visit, which was quite surprising for The Duchess to hear.

She had heard The Duchess hosted the church branch and was working towards reestablishing connections between the older branches, and she loved that idea and wanted to be a part of it. She even said she had a few students picked out to bring with her.

She said it would be great for those students as well, as they could learn about how The Duchess and her maids serve the goddess and can even teach her maids about how they do it and about the academy they attend.

The Duchess thanks Elsa for the letter and tells her to wait outside while she makes a call. Elsa curtsied and left, closing the door and standing on the other side of it. The Duchess smiles, then hears Elsa drop to her knees and start moaning.

The Duchess called The Headmistress using the number she included in her letter and the two began to talk. The Duchess was more than happy to host them, excited even, and said she’d start making arrangements as soon as possible.

The Headmistress thought that was great and gave The Duchess the names of the students she picked out to join her, and among the names was Jackie Alex. The conversation ended shortly afterward, and The Duchess was delighted at how things were going.

The Duchess leaves her study and calls for an assembly of all the maids. Marinette arrives first and at the front of the line as The Duchess makes her announcement. She tells them all they’ll have gusts again soon, so they needed to make sure the house was in tip-top shape.

Marinette smiled; she was excited to see who it was. The last time they hosted, she made a really cool new friend, and she was hoping to do it again. The next week was filled with maids working extra hard to make the manor perfect. It was so clean you could eat off the floors.

When the time came for the guests to arrive, the maids all assembled behind The Duchess, other than Marinette, who waited by the door to be ready to open it and greet the guests as soon as they arrived.

The second the doorbell went off, Marinette opened the door and curtsied to the guests. When she came back up, she smiled and welcomed them all to the manor. She was then about to lead them inside to The Duchess, but The Headmistress took her hand and placed it on Marinette’s chin.

She looked at Marinette and smiled and told her she was very beautiful, and she could see why The Duchess liked her so much. Marinette blushed and thanked The Headmistress for her kind words. She then brought them all inside.

As The Headmistress and her students gather in the main corridor of the mansion, all of the maids behind The Duchess curtsied. The Duchess greets The Headmistress and then looks at her students and welcomes them all to her home and tells them how glad she is to meet all of them.

The Duchess and The Headmistress talk for a bit, then they decide to go off on their own for some more private conversations, but before that, they decide to split the girls into groups, much like The Duchess did when the church visited.

So each pair would have one student from the Latex Academy and one student from the Latex Manor, and since there are more maids than students, those not paired up with go about their daily duties as normal.

One by one, The Headmistress would call one of her students forward and introduce them, and then The Duchess would pick a maid to pair with them. As each pair was picked, Marinette became worried she wouldn’t be paired up this time.

Luckily, when a taller, red-haired girl named Jackie came stepping forward, The Duchess called Marinette to be her partner. Marinette nearly jumped and cheered with joy, but as a good maid, she kept her composure and came forward to meet Jackie.

After Marinette got paired with Jackie, Marinette was surprised to hear Nora got paired up with someone as well. Nora was paired up with a short blonde-haired girl with buns in her hair named Alex.

Alex goes running up to see Nora excited like a little kid going to an amusement park, which was sure a lot for Nora, but Nora was a great maid as well, and Marinette knew she’d click with Alex like they had all that time ago when she got here.

With the pairs picked, The Duchess instucks her maids to teach the students about the manor, the history behind it, and their roles and duties that come with them, and lastly to serve the students assigned to them reasonably.

The Duchess then smiled and said she knew they’d do a great job, and she trusted them with the care of the students. The maids all curtsied and The Duchess and The Headmistress went off to talk more, and once they were gone, the pairs of students and maids split up.

Marinette does a proper introduction with Jackie, then starts to lead her through the manor. Marinette was happy to find Jackie and herself clicking quite well. So in between the different areas where Marinette would explain the details of the manor, they talked about their personal lives.

Starting with their lives from before. At this point, it wasn't a surprise to Marinette that Jackie was formerly a man like she and what seemed most of the people in their religion had been, but Jackie had no idea, and to be fair, she didn’t really know much about the other branches yet.

Jackie asks about Marinette’s life from before the manor and if she regretted coming here at all. Marinette started off by saying she had no regrets being here, as it was so much better than her old life. She then told Jackie about how she used to be a detective.

Jackie looked a bit embarrassed and joked about how, before the Latex Academy, they were on opposite sides. Marinette was curious about that and Jackie started to explain. Starting with how she was framed for a crime, then convicted of it.

That was how she ended up at the Latex Academy, and while it hasn’t been too bad, she still hates that her name has been tarnished by things she’d never do. Marinette sighed and apologized to Jackie, saying that kind of confrontation was very prominent when she was a detective.

While she said she never did that stuff, she never really fought against the cops who planted evidence, the lawyers that asked cops to lie to help them get a conviction. When she was a detective, she only cared about her own cases and working alone.

Marinette said if she could do something about it now she would, but she was just a simple maid now, so the best she could do is hope and pray to the goddess to help Jackie clear her name and live her life free and as her true self.

Jackie smiled and thanked Marinette for the sentiment. Marinette then put her finger on her chin and said now that she was thinking about it, maybe the goddess already had Jackie on the right path. Jackie laughed and said that could be true, and she’ll have faith everything works out in the end.

They continue the tour and continue telling each other about their lives as well as little details about themselves to get to know each other better. Jackie at one point even tells Marinette about how the whole academy is made of latex, which Marinette thinks is crazy.

Marinette looked at the walls. It could be possible the manor was the same, but it didn’t seem to change like how Jackie said the academy did. Some time passes, and Elsa rings the dinner bell, and the maids, students, and The Duchess and The Headmistress meet in the dining hall.

The maids pull the chairs out for student partners and push them in towards the table when they sit down. Then each maid asks their student what they’d like to drink and then gives them the menu for tonight's dinner.

Once the maids have their students order, they go to the kitchen and prepare the students and their own meals and come back with them. They serve the students and ask if they need anything else before serving themselves and sitting down.

Everyone then begins to eat and have a good time chatting with each other. Marinette got to sit next to Jackie and Nora, which made dinner really fun. After dinner, before the maids got up to clean, The Headmistress stood up and made a toast.

She tells the maids they were very kind and she was so glad to see them treating her precious students so amazingly and she thanked them for an amazing meal. She turned to The Duchess and thanked her for hosting all of them, saying it was long overdue.

The Headmistress then smiles and says she’d like to reward her students for being so good today and asks if it’s okay to let the maids join in. The Duchess pretends for a moment that she wasn’t going to allow it, but then smiles and tells The Duchess to go ahead.

The Duchess already knew a few maids that would want to go, or wouldn’t have a problem being sent, but she wanted to talk to them first, and if they want to go, she’ll set it up, but for now they needed to unwind a bit from entertaining guests.

So The Duchess walks The Headmistress and her students out of the manor and says a final goodbye to them before watching them drive off. The Duchess and her maids return to the manor, and life inside returns to normal for now.
