Melody’s Weekend with Asuna (Ea)(TG-Empress)

Melody was sitting on her bed kicking her feet back and forth as she looked at the framed photo from Valentine's Day that she bought. It was such an amazing day. Nadine took her to a fancy hotel, had her dressed up as a princess and the two spent the day acting as royals.

They ball danced, had tea parties, and Nadine, as the prince, even got to fight off some bandits using a prop sword. It seemed silly, but it was so much fun Melody didn’t want it to end, but at the same time, once it ended and they went back to their room, that was when the best part happened.

Her prince gave her the happily ever after that princesses’ usually get, and it was amazing. Melody still couldn’t believe that day happened and that it wasn’t a dream. Leave it to Nadine to make moments as magical as fairy tales.

The door to Melody’s room opens and Nadine comes walking in. Melody puts the photo down and gets up to run over to Nadine and hug her. After a spin and a long, tight hug, Melody lets go, and Nadine kisses her on the cheek.

Nadine then sighs and says she’s going to miss Melody all weekend. Melody pouts and says she’s going to miss her more. Melody then perks up and tells Nadine that it’s only for two days; after that, she’ll be back and the two of them will enjoy Easter vacation together.

Nadine then asks what Melody will be up to this weekend. Melody tells her she’d soon be on the road as well, as Asuna had invited her to her family’s county estate for the weekend. Nadine squinted her eyes and asked if it was Asuna or Alexander.

Melody looked confused and said it was Asuna and that since her brother was always following her, the two of them had been getting closer. Nadine stopped looking like she was skeptical about Asuna’s invite to patting Melody on her head and telling her how proud she was of her.

Melody was confused and asked Nadine what she was proud of. Nadine then told Melody that Asuna would be the first friend she’s officially made as a girl, since the rest of their friends were their friends from before her change, so they continued to be friends with them.

Asuna would be the first one that officially came afterward. Melody realized she was right, and it was a bit embarrassing but sort of nice. Nadine and Melody then sat on the bed and hung out before Nadine had to leave with her parents to go visit her grandparents.

Meanwhile, at the country estate, Asuna was styling her hair while her annoying brother passed around the room behind her, thinking about Melody. Asuna stopped doing her hair and faced him.

Asuna broke him out of his thoughts and asked him if he understood what was going on.

She told him he could try to convince Melody once; if she refuses, he has to forget about her. Alexander looked at her perplexed. He tried to tell her it wasn’t that simple, but Asuna, used to dealing with her brother, cut him off and told him the same thing again.

He continued to try and argue, but Asuna cut him off over and over, telling him the same thing until he gave up and agreed. Later in the evening, Melody and Nadine said goodbye to each other and set off for their weekend plans.

It was a short drive for Melody, and when she arrived, Asuna was waiting outside for her. Melody parked her car and walked over and greeted Asuna with a smile, who in turn did the same. Asuna then has her staff collect Melody’s luggage and then all of them head inside.

The rest of the day was Asuna showing off the house and then the two of them having a really fancy meal while mostly getting to know each other more. The whole time she was there, Alexander didn’t make an appearance.

He simply stayed inside one of the rooms and had the servants bring food and water to him when needed. It took everything in him not to break out and go to his sweet Melody, but he made a promise not to, and he was going to keep it.

After a lovely all-girls evening, Asuna shows Melody to the room she’ll be using, where the staff had already put her things. She then tells Melody to sleep well, and in the morning they’ll do some fun things. Melody thanks her several times and tells Asuna how excited she is to hang out with her.

Asuna smiles and takes her leave. Melody then gets changed and gets onto the bed, which was the most comfortable thing she’d ever touched. She fell asleep almost immediately and didn’t wake up or roll over once.

In the morning one of the staff knocked on the door, and Melody, who was still in a blissful state from the best sleep ever, told them to come in. It was an older woman who walked in and opened the curtains, filling the room with light.

That woke Melody up quickly. The woman then told Melody that she was here to help her get dressed in the outfit the mistress had requested and then lead Melody to the dining hall for breakfast. Melody nodded and stood up.

The woman then quickly pulled Melody over to a chair where she proceeded to brush Melody’s hair and then start getting her dressed. Once dressed, Melody went with her to the dining room to eat breakfast with Asuna.

After that, the two went outside to the stables, where Asuna had two horses brought out for them to ride. Melody was a bit nervous about it at first, which Asuna thought was cute, but Asuna walked her through getting on the horse and riding it around.

The two then went for a ride through the trails on the property, checking out the sites and wildlife that live among them. It was early afternoon and the sun was out and hot, so Asuna asked Melody if she'd like to go swimming for a bit.

Melody says that would be awesome and the two head inside, get bathing suits on and head out to the pool area, which is bigger than most people's homes. The two then jump in and start swimming around, splashing and playing catch.

After some time, Asuna notices Alexander in the window with his face pressed against the glass and fogging it up with his breath. She sighs and looks at Melody. She tells Melody that she needs to excuse herself for a moment, as she needs to make a call to her mother.

Melody buys it and sits on the ledge of the pool, waiting for her to come back. Asuna goes inside and looks at Alexander. She tells him he has one shot and only a few minutes, as she was having fun and this whole thing was a bit annoying.

He thanked her and then grabbed the door to go outside. He quickly ran over to Melody and greeted her. Melody, who didn’t look a bit surprised to see him, was her usually nice self and greeted him as she would a friend.

Alexander knew this was it, his one and only chance to claim his Melody. He starts by asking her if she was enjoying her weekend with Asuna. Melody nodded and said she was. Alexander says that’s great and then sneakily throws a compliment towards Melody before continuing the conversation.

Melody was more aware of Alexander’s tactics by now, and she knew what he was doing. Complimenting her slowly and sneakily in order to ensnare her, which slowly turned into him trying to convince her what she’s missing.

Melody’s face gets redder and redder because of his complaints and the fact that she could even fantasize about being with a guy. However, those were just thoughts, and they quickly get taken over by thoughts of Nadine, who always makes Melody’s heart flutter, which no one else does.

Melody asks Alexander to sit next to her and he does. She looks at him and tells him that he’s a really nice guy. Alexander smiles and grabs Melody’s hand and says that’s great. Melody sighs and pulls her hands away.

She continues and tells him that she prefers Nadine and that she’s sorry she doesn’t have a better answer for him. Alexander looked saddened but then immediately continued to try and convince her, but suddenly, Melody watched him go flying into the pool.

Melody looked up to find Asuna with her foot lifted up, then she turned her head again to see Alexander pop out of the water. Asuna looks at Alexander with a stern look, and he begins to try and talk. Asuna didn’t let him talk and reminded him what he agreed to.

She told him he had no choice but to drop it. He looked upset, closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them, saying he understood. He then got out of the pool and left. Asuna then sits down next to Melody and apologizes for that.

She then thanked Melody for being honest with him and letting him down easily, not that the fool deserves it, but it was probably the only way he’d move on and stop bothering her. Melody chuckled and said she hoped so, and if he did, perhaps they could become friends.

Asuna looked surprised that Melody was still willing to be friends with him after how annoying he was. She then smiled and said Melody was a really nice person, and she was glad to call her a friend and would be happy for her brother if one day he could as well.

The two of them then went back to swimming for a bit before having dinner. After that, the rest of the weekend was filled with fun activities and no further incidents. At the end of the weekend, the staff packed Melody’s car, and Melody said goodbye to Asuna and started driving home.

As she drove, she reflected on the weekend. She was really happy to finally tell Alexander how she felt and that she really wasn't interested in him like that. She hoped it stuck but only time will tell. Melody then thought about what Nadine was going to say about it.

Melody then smiled as she remembered that she’d soon be able to see Nadine again, which made her heart flutter again. Melody knew no matter what thoughts ran through her head during the day, Nadine was the woman of her dreams, and she didn’t see that ever changing.
