Subject 015: The Slime Girl (Ea)

I was sitting at home when the mail arrived and was pushed through my mail slot. I got up and grabbed it and started to sift through the junk mail. It was the normal type of stuff that I got all the time.

The only thing out of place was a bright red envelope. I took it and tossed everything else into the trash. I then leaned on the counter and opened the envelope. To my surprise, it was a handwritten letter from a cruise line saying I won a free trip.

I thought it was a scam, but after checking the website and calling, it seemed to be legit. So with nothing better to do, I took the week off and decided to go on a cruise. I packed my bags and arrived at the location.

Before we were let on to the ship, I was standing next to eleven other people. All of whom seemed to win a free cruise as well. It was cool they gave so many away, but it was strange that there were no other people waiting to get on.

It was cool that they gave away so many free trips, but it was a bit strange that there was no one else here. I would have thought there would have been a ton of people who would be paying to take this trip as well.

As odd as it was, it wasn’t my problem. Some time later passes, and we’re led on to the ship and shown to our rooms. My room was number fifteen, and inside wasn’t anything all that special. I head inside and put my bag on the bed.

Before the attendant leaves, he tells me, for safety reasons, I need to stay in my room until the ship takes off. I told him that was fine and that I’d just chill on the bed and watch something on my phone. He thanked me and said he’d come get me later and take me to dinner.

As I said I would, I sat on the bed, pulled out my phone, and watched something. About a half hour later I heard the door to my room lock and sat up confused. Then the whole room started to fill with some sort of gas.

I started to panic and bit and attempted to stand up and get out, but whatever the gas was made me pass out. While asleep, I had the strangest dream where I had no bones and just flopped around like Jell-O.

As much as it sounded like a nightmare, it was actually quite the pleasant dream, but I’m not sure why. When I woke up, I was lying on the ground in what seemed like a massive forest. I stood up and looked around, quite confused.

I was just on a cruise ship. How did I end up here alone? I started to walk around, hoping to find some sort of answer, but I couldn’t find anything but trees, random plants with berries, several small creatures, and rivers.

It was like I was dropped in the middle of nowhere. Was this why they gave us a free trip, to drop us off somewhere to die? That’s messed up. I really shouldn’t have accepted this trip; it was clearly sketchy.

Not knowing what to do, I gather up some berries that look safe and find a cave near some water to settle in. I have no idea how to get out of here, but what I do know is it’s best to stay in one place in case someone is looking for me.

After getting some food stored and a place to sleep, I make a fire and sit waiting for something to happen. No one comes by, and after filling up on berries, I fall asleep next to the fire. My dream was similar to the one I had before I woke up in that forest.

I had no bones and was like Jell-O. Well, I guess I was more like a slime monster. My body was green and small, and I was able to change my shape how I wanted. When moving, I was a small green ball, and when still, I took a more humanistic form.

The strange thing was that my human form felt incomplete. I didn’t really have any features, like hair or eyes. It was quite strange and a bit sad; I had a desire to be completed, but my dream ended before that happened.

I sighed because it was a bit disappointing, but what could I do? I went to stand up, and when I took my first step, I noticed my foot sunk into the ground. I looked down and noticed my lower leg was gone; it was just a green puddle.

I was surprised, but I wasn’t sure why. I sat down and pulled my foot up and focused on reforming it. It seemed to come back, which was good. I did notice my shoe was gone, along with the pants I was wearing yesterday.

I look over at where I was sleeping and notice there’s a bunch of dissolved clothes there. It seems my clothes dissolved while I was sleeping, which is annoying but my fault for wearing them, as I know I’m part slime and that happens to non-slime-resistant clothing.

I sigh and leave the cave, falling slightly with each step as my legs fall into a puddle below me and reform. It was annoying, but I still didn’t know how to turn into a smile ball to roll around, so I decided to practice before going to look for food.

I tried a bunch of things—relaxing, jumping onto the ground, rolling around in my human-like form—but nothing worked. I was still too solid to fully become a ball, which was disappointing. I wanted to roll around like a normal slime.

But it seems I still have to wait until that day comes. Disappointed by waiting a couple of hours and getting nowhere, I start going around the forest collecting different things. Things like leaves, fruits, vegetables, even some rocks and flowers.

Once I had something that looked good, I tossed it into my mouth. It then went down to my stomach and dissolved, giving me energy from the item. I quickly found that leaves, rocks, and tree bark don’t give much energy and aren’t that tasty.

Fruits and vegetables, however are great. I get a ton of energy from them, and my stomach doesn’t get upset from them. So from now on, I’m going to eat more and more of those. After filling up, I head to the river to get some water.

It was actually quite fun; all I had to do was sit down and stick my feet in the water to suck it up inside me. It was also funny to watch my stomach expand from the amount of water I took in, but it quickly dissolved, and I collected energy from it as well.

With training complete and food and water collected, I had nothing else to do, so I just sat by the water thinking about things. The forest was quite nice, and I enjoyed watching the birds and other monsters running around doing their thing.

As nice as it was, I felt like something was off. It felt like I wasn’t supposed to be here, or perhaps was it that I was waiting for someone? I can’t remember, so maybe I’m mistaken about all of that. Oh well, maybe someone will show up, and if they do, we can be friends.

I head back to my cave after some time and get myself comfortable in the corner and close my eyes. I fell asleep almost instantly, and I once again had that dream again, this time with much more detail than ever.

In the dream I was standing in the woods practicing changing forms. I started off in my human form, which was now complete. I had long green hair and a cute, feminine face, and my body was small and slim. I was so cute and happy to be complete.

I got even happier when, in my dream, I relaxed and my body melted down into a puddle and then reformed into a ball. I was so excited to finally do it I started rolling around the forest floor collecting everything I rolled over.

I was so excited that I ended up waking up early. I was a bit bummed to find out it was just a dream, but I remember the feeling of when I changed and had a good feeling about it, and I knew it would work in real life.

I tried it right away inside my cave, and it worked. I was a little slime ball rolling around. I rolled around my whole cave but stopped when I felt something strange get pulled inside me. I stopped rolling and returned to my human form.

I then looked down and found a white piece of clothing inside me. I looked at it for a few minutes and was surprised it wasn’t dissolving. I pulled it out and looked at it, and I was thrilled to find a white dress that had been treated for slime resistance.

That meant I could wear it in my human form and store it inside me while in my slime ball form. It was awesome! I put it on right away and checked myself out in it. It was really nice, but it seems my slime got it a bit wet, so it’s a bit see-through, but it’s still perfect.

With it on, I turn back into a ball and head off into the forest to look for food, grab some water, and explore the area around my cave. I don’t know what’s out here, but I get the feeling there are others, as it feels like someone has been watching me for the last few days. Time to find them and say hello!
