A commission for CureYuna
Surrounded by three tiny walls, with a computer in front of him, Martin sat there bored reading through the emails he got from various people in the company where he works complaining about all kinds of things, things that could be solved by those people just minding their own business.
As a member of HR, he had to go through everything, no matter how stupid it was. The job was basically pointless, and it was clearly going nowhere in life, and it sure was draining dealing with problems from adults that kids could solve on their own.
The only reason he still did it was because of the pay. It was a decent amount of money for simply telling people to get over themselves, but the more and more he does it, the more he finds himself daydreaming about times in his life that were simpler and more innocent than they are now.
Those times happened to be when he was a small kid; he missed them, though his childhood wasn’t exactly how he wanted it to be. Martin has never told anyone and would deny it if they somehow found out, but he often wished he was born a girl.
He wished he got to have a fun childhood as a girl, sounding adorable, looking cute, and doing all the things girls did, but he was born a boy, so he was never allowed to do those things. So he just hid those feelings and moved through life on autopilot.
He never imagined things would change, but last night before bed, he saw a shooting star from his bedroom window. Martin laughed and said to himself that it would be quite funny to wish that he was a small girl, perhaps one that looks like one of his favorite characters.
Of course it was supposed to be a joke, but deep down Martin wanted it more than anything; he really wanted it to come true. Though he wasn’t surprised when nothing happened, he went to bed like normal, as he had work in the morning.
Of course, when morning came around, Martin was in for a big surprise. She sat up and yawned and then turned to get off of her bed. She pushed off the bed like she normally did and ended up falling to the floor.
Normally her feet reach the floor, so when she did that, she would just stand up, but today that didn’t happen. Martin looked at her legs and tilted her head. They looked smaller, and her feet were closer to her than before.
She stood up and looked at her bed. Between her bed frame, her box spring, and her mattress, her bed was about three and a half feet in the air, and normally she was much taller than it, but now she wasn’t even a foot taller than it.
Martin looked down at her hands and was shocked that she was tiny now. Martin starts to panic, not sure how this happened or what she was going to do about it. She ended up sitting on the floor and crying for a good thirty minutes, thinking she was in trouble.
When she stops crying and thinking about it, she wonders if it really is a bad thing. She walked over to her mirror, which was now huge compared to her, and looked at herself. She was crying only a minute ago, but now she was smiling and excited.
It seemed somehow her wish came true; she was a small girl and looked like one of her favorite characters. She looked like Illya from Fate. With long, silverish hair and red eyes, she also seemed to have the same height and appearance in age.
Martin started to mess around; she did some stretches so as not to hurt herself when she started to jump up and down in place. She was amazed by how light she was now, and compared to her old body, she felt like a feather.
She did some cute poses in the mirror. It was crazy her wish came true, but it felt like it was as good as she always dreamed it would be. Martin was having so much fun, but her alarm on her phone went off, telling her it was time to leave for work.
Martin gulped; there was no way she could go to work like this, plus she really didn’t want to. She wanted to ignore her adult responsibilities for once and have fun. So she grabbed her phone and called her boss.
Her boss answered, and Martin did her best to sound like a grown man so she could call out of work. Her boss caught on right away though, and asked who she was. Martin tried to convince her boss she was who she said she was but failed.
Her boss said she knew Martin, and he didn’t sound like an adorable kid. She then said she had no idea he had a kid and then sighed. She then asked to talk to Martin, which was a problem because she was talking to Martin.
In a panic, Martin told her boss she wasn’t coming in today and hung up. Moments later, Martin got a text from his boss saying she had no idea what was going on, but she approved time off for Martin to figure it out.
Martin let out a sigh of relief and then went back to messing around like a kid. She wanted to enjoy life in this moment, as she had no idea how long she was going to look like Illya and wanted to make every second of it count, as when it ended, she knew she’d cry and wish it lasted longer.
After about an hour of running around her house having fun, Illya realized she didn’t exactly have clothes that fit her new body. She smiled; though she didn’t look like it, she was an adult with adult money, which meant she could go buy herself all new clothes.
So she took one of her long, really nice-looking shirts, put it on, used a belt to make it look cute, and left her house barefoot, since none of her shoes fit. As she stood at her front door with her wallet in hand, her neighbor came over with their mail, like he did every day.
He was a bit older and often confused, so when he saw Martin in her new small form, he didn’t even question who she was. He simply patted her on the head and said she was adorable. He then handed her the mail and told her to make sure it got to her dad.
Martin didn’t try to correct him and stood there quickly while blushing while the man patted her on the head. It was totally embarrassing, but at the same time it made her heart flutter around. It seems her new self really likes attention.
After putting away the mail, Martin heads towards the clothing stores nearby. She was going to go into a normal clothes store, but living in a city means there are some very unique stores to be found, and one such store was themed around cosplay.
Martin goes in and starts looking around for something very specific. She did look exactly like Illya, but it would be so much cooler if she had her costume as well. So she sifted through the racks, which was a bit hard to do since they were all taller than her now.
In fact, they were big enough for her to hide inside, which she tried her best to resist, but she ended up inside one and peeking out to spy on other shoppers. It was so fun for absolutely no reason. She sat in there for nearly ten minutes before her giggling nearly got her caught.
After that she left the rack and continued to look around. She eventually found what she was looking for. Illya’s school uniform. Martin walked over to the wall where it was hung up and tried to grab it, but it was too high.
It was at the top of the wall, which was way above her head. She tried several times to get it and even pulled over a step stool, but she was still too short to reach it on her own. In the end, one of the employees came over and asked her if she needed help.
Martin looked down at her feet and pouted a bit, as she wanted to get it on her own, but it seems there are some downsides to being so small. Martin got off the step stool and shyly asked the employee to get her the costume.
They were happy to do so and got on the step stool themselves and pulled it down, and then they handed it to Martin. Martin thanked them and slowly walked towards the counter while pouting. She put it up on the counter and handed the cashier her card.
The cashier looked at it, then at Martin. She then asked if she had permission to use this card. Martin got annoyed and said it was hers. The employee didn’t believe her, not until Martin pulled up her phone and proved she had access to the bank account associated with the card.
The employee then said something about her being a lucky kid for her parents to let her have her own account and use it to buy cosplays. Martin puffed her cheeks out and said she was actually an adult, which made the cashier laugh.
They then put the purchase through, and as they packed the costume, they noticed Martin looked just like the girl on the package. They then said it would actually look amazing on her and be a super accurate cosplay.
Once again Martin found herself wanting to be mad about being treated as a kid, but she couldn’t help but smile and feel warm inside from the compliments. She thanked the cashier and took the costume right home to change into it.
It fit perfectly, from the shirt to the shoes, even the hat, but Martin decided not to leave the hat off. Once in the costume, she took a ton of pictures while posing and even played around in the costume for hours. Once she was tired out, she went outside and looked up at the twilight sky.
As much as she didn’t want to go back to being a boring adult man, she was thankful for whatever gave her this time fulfilling her dream. She then put her head into her knees and was nearly in tears because she thought it was going to end.
Before the first tear could roll down her face, though, her phone rang. She looked at it and saw that it was her mother. Martin’s mother calls every few days to chat, and today was one of those days, and if Martin didn’t answer, she’d know something was wrong.
Martin began to panic again. How was she going to explain this to her mother? Could she even explain it? Her son became a small girl; that was something impossible to believe, but it was true. Martin listened to her phone ring for a minute before finally answering it and saying hello.
