Fire Emblem Heroes: Camilla and Marth I (Ea)

It’s been a couple of months since the couple found themselves in the world of Fire Emblem Heroes and in the bodies of Camilla and Marth. It had been quite the adjustment, considering they ended up with bodies that were the opposite gender of their original bodies.

It was a bit to adjust to, but now they were more than used to it and enjoying all the cool powers and abilities they got by ending up in this world. Abilities they’ve been using as mercenaries for hire as they traveled the lands.

When arriving at a new town, they’d ask around and see if the villagers needed them for anything; then they’d negotiate a price, which wasn’t normally gold, but things like supplies and sometimes a place to sleep for the night.

The two of them were currently on a job to route a group of bandits. The two of them scouted the ruins where the bandits were hiding. They found about a dozen or so of them, none all that tough-looking.

They then came up with a plan, which was for Camilla to run in and start attacking from the front and gain their attention, while Marth sneaks around to flank them. With the plan set, Camilla grabbed her axe and charged into their makeshift base.

Catching them by surprise, Camilla was able to swing her axe into one of the bandits and take him out right away, but as soon as his bloody body flew across the air over the rest of the bandits, they all grabbed their weapons and charged at her.

The first one to come at her was wielding a lance. Camilla dodged his attack, then swung her axe downward, shattering the bandit's lance as they both smashed into the ground. She then pulled out her Thunder tome and used it to shock the bandit until he stopped moving.

Camilla quickly put her tome away and grabbed her axe, ready for the next attack. There were still ten bandits left, and now that they realized she was wielding an axe, they were pulling out swords, which gave them the advantage.

Four of the bandits took charge, and all together they surrounded Camilla. She was unable to break through them and run, so all she could do was block their attacks with her axe and buy time for Marth.

Marth was finally around the back of the base, and he was sneaking through. He saw the four bandits fighting Camilla and knew he had to act quickly, but if he jumps in now, he’ll be surrounded just like her.

Luckily, he could use the terrain to his advantage. He climbed up a small, broken-down defense tower. He made his way to the ballista. It was old and falling apart a bit, but it looked like it was capable of shooting one bolt.

He aimed it at a cracked wall right above the group of bandits who weren't currently fighting with Camilla. Marth fired the ballista and watched as it zoomed through the air and into the wall, breaking it to pieces and sending those pieces raining down.

The debris caught the group of bandits even more off guard than they had already been, and three of them were knocked out by falling rocks, while the other three with small injuries managed to get to their feet and run towards Marth’s location.

Marth jumps back to the ground and pulls out Falchion. He dodges the first bandit and knees him in the stomach, then swings his sword towards the second, clashing his sword with the bandit's axe. The third bandit appears at Marth’s side and draws his bow.

Marth pushed the axe bandit back and held his sword toward the archer. As the archer aims at Marth, the two other bandits come up from behind him and swing their weapons down towards his head.

At the same time the archer released his arrow, sending it flying right at Marth. Marth smiles and closes his eyes; he then takes a deep breath before suddenly opening his eyes, slashing down, and splitting the arrow in half.

Each half of the arrow flew around his head and hit the bandits behind him, taking them out of the fight. Without missing a beat, Marth dashed towards the archer before he could let loose another arrow.

With one clean slash, he cut the archer's bow in half, and with a second, the archer was falling to the ground. Marth swung his sword, sending the blood on it flying towards the ground, before he sheathed his blade.

He then walked over towards Camilla, who was still just blocking the remaining four bandits attacking her. Marth leaned against a wall and watched for a moment, watching her very curvy body bounce around with elegance.

Once his eyes had had enough, he called out to her and asked her what was taking so long. She looked over at him and noticed him lounging around and got mad. She took her axe and swung it into the ground as hard as she could.

That sent a shockwave in all directions while also destroying the portion of the ground they were all standing on. All the bandits were sent flying into the air. Camilla then took her axe and threw it into the air at one of the bandits.

It went right into his back, and he ended up landing on it when he came back down. One of the other three bandits managed to land on his feet, while the other two landed on their backs but were quickly getting up.

Camilla pulled out her tome again and cast thunder on the bandit currently standing. It did some damage but didn’t stop him, so she did it again and then again, which made him fall down, to which she responded by hitting him again just to make sure he stayed down.

One of the two remaining bandits ran at her, but her tome was out of charges, so she couldn’t shock him, so instead she jumped up into the air, grabbed the man by the throat with her thighs, flipped him over herself, and drove him into the ground below her.

Camilla landed on top of the bandit and just stared down the remaining bandit with a look in her eyes that showed him that she was going to send him to places worse than hell. The last bandit, finally having some sense, decided to turn tail and run.

Of course Camilla wasn’t going to let him go, but she also wasn’t going to chase him, not with how tired she is. Her axe also had a man resting on it, so the only thing left at her disposal was his uncharged tome.

So she took it and threw it as hard as she could at the fleeing bandit. Now, for as heavy as tomes can be, Camilla threw it with so much force it was flying as fast and smooth as a shuriken. It quickly hit the bandit in the back of the head, causing him to do a front flip before face planting on the ground.

Once he was done and out for the count, Camilla looked down and took a deep breath, and Marth, well, he started clapping and saying she was amazing. Camilla looked up and right at him, giving him the same look she gave the bandit.

Marth gulped and knew he was in trouble. Camilla stormed over to him and started asking him what that was all about. Marth started to panic and say he didn’t think he was needed as she was so strong and beautiful.

Camilla stopped looking angry and blushed. She then smiled and asked if that was why he didn’t help, because he was too busy checking her out. Marth was now the one blushing and rubbing the back of his head and admitting he was caught.

Camilla smiled for a moment before suddenly looking angry again. Of course, this time she wasn't actually angry, and Marth had been around her long enough to know. She called Marth mean and said he’d have to do something to make up for it.

She then put her finger on her chin like she was thinking of something. She looked down at him and said she wanted a massage when they got back to the village, and after that, perhaps he could finally show her his blade of light.

Marth said he was more than happy to give her a massage when they got back but was confused about what the second thing meant until Camilla kissed him on the cheek and winked before walking away. He suddenly understood what she meant; she was finally ready to accept that being a woman was her fate.

Comments

I seem to want to take this series into a mostly fantasy battle-type kind of thing while just using Fire Emblem characters. So there's no real need to worry about not knowing it. These characters merely look like the Fire Emblem characters but will grow and become their own versions of the characters, so needing to know the original is not needed.

alas, i am still not a fan of "Fire Emblem" and therefore perceive this story a little differently and for me personally it looks like just one of the connecting stories... of course the battle scene looks cool but still... otherwise the story is good and its main task is to show how everything has changed since we saw Camilla and Marth
