Cursed Object: An Orange

Cursed objects, they’re a concept most people in our world know about, but they’re supposedly something so rare most people don’t ever encounter them. Hell, most people wouldn’t even believe they exist if there wasn’t a whole government division for them.

From what I know, they can be all kinds of things. Cursed objects range from things like old clothing and jewelry to old relics found in ancient ruins. For many years these objects were thought to be cursed when magic was abundant in our world.

So many people were surprised when a resurgence of cursed items appeared, all of them in new modern-day items. There was a news report from C.O.D about this, but I unfortunately didn't put much stock into the warning.

That was until I got cursed by one of these modern-day items. I truly never expected to be cursed by it either, I mean after all it was an orange. Yup that's right, the thing that cursed me and changed my entire life was a damned orange.

It hasn’t been reported on the news or by C.O.D yet, but apparently, a local orange plantation had been cursed by a dying witch. I guess she had been severely injured in some sort of witch battle, which I didn’t even know was a thing.

With her injuries and I guess the lack of mana in our world, she couldn't heal herself, so she made her way to the plantation and spoke with the owner. The owner wanted nothing to do with a witch so he had her thrown from the property.

As she lay outside the plantation taking her final breaths, she used all the magic she had left to curse the entire place. I guess her hope was to ruin the guy's entire life, with cursed fruit trees, he’d go bankrupt.

The farmer didn’t know of course, so he harvested his crops later that year, and when he decided to try one, he learned the hard way that he had been cursed. The next morning, he had become a she.

That’s right, whoever eats an orange from those trees will have their gender-swapped.

Not only that, but their personality becomes altered to that of a shy, caring, and very generous person, who will help anyone with anything they ask. The farmer knew that the government would find out about the trees and send someone to burn them down.

So normally she would try to sell all the fruit and bail on her operation, but the curse changed her into a good person. So instead, she went to a local farmers market and gave all the oranges away for free. Which is how I got one, so pretty much I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Of course, as soon as I got home I had to try it. The next morning, instead of my normal self, I found a short five-foot-one woman, with very large and perky breasts. My hair had grown out to my lower back, almost touching my butt. Speaking of that, it is now more than a little bit bigger.

Much like those changes, the rest of me changed. Including my now missing dick and balls. Although with all the changes, one I can’t complain about is my now super smooth and soft skin, which definitely is a plus.

I woke up that morning, confused, scared, and terrified. I sat in my bathroom on the toilet for hours scrolling through the internet to find some sort of answer. I ended up coming across the page for the Cursed Object Department.

Yup, C.O.D. I decided to call the number and talk to an agent. He didn’t seem surprised and asked me to come into their office and they would take care of everything and check me to make sure I was okay.

I got there and sat quietly while the agent explained my situation and the case that he was investigating. I was too nervous and shy to speak to him, so I ended up nodding and agreeing with him on everything he was saying.

He told me so far, there were two hundred and sixty-three people also affected by this orange outbreak. He told me they had already found the farm and burned the trees down, getting rid of the curse.

The problem was they couldn’t track all the oranges, they did recover a large portion of them, somewhere around ten thousand, but there were still around two thousand still missing, or already consumed.

So they were still expecting a large number of victims from this incident. He apologized that this had happened to me, and apologized again when he told me I was stuck like this. He informed me there would be plenty of resources for me going forward, and I wouldn’t have to worry.

He then issued me all new identification papers, so everything now reflects my new body and gender. For the next few months, I stayed in a special C.O.D. facility, where I learned how to take care of this body.

They also offered classes on things like makeup, hairstyle, and other gender-specific things for those like me who had never done them before. Of course, we were free not to take the classes, but I decided to embrace my change and I went to all of them.

It’s been a couple of months now since I left the facility. I had learned everything I could and felt comfortable being on my own. There was also a lawsuit against the orange plantation, for the damages to the victims.

They settled pretty quickly and I ended up with a very large sum of money. Nearly a million dollars, I’m not sure where the plantation got all that money, but for what they did to me, I’m not going to deny taking it.

So here I am, shopping to my heart's content. Buying all kinds of clothes, jewelry, and makeup, even a special adult toy that I plan to try out on this body later tonight. Overall, I’m not that upset with being cursed, actually, I’m very happy with the outcome.
