Into the game: Amber

From the poll, since it was a three-way tie, I did all three as one big story. Part one of three.

One of my best friends Trent was given tickets to one of the biggest video game conventions of the year for his birthday. He invited me, along with our other friend Ervin, to go with him to the event. We were going to have the time of our lives, or at least I thought we were.

That all changed when something happened at the convention. There was a loud explosion that caused my hearing to go out. Following that, we were flung into a wall by some sort of energy wave. One moment I was laying on top of a pile of tables and electronics and the next I was soaring through the air over a ton of buildings.

I panicked and crashed into the window of a building. Inside was a blonde woman standing in a messy room. She looked shocked and horrified that I just crashed into her window. She walked over to the window opened it, and then started scolding me.

I was too panicked to say anything, including asking for help. She kept saying something about telling me not to fly next to the buildings, and that I could have hurt myself or someone else. She put her hand into her face and sighed.

She told me to be careful and closed the window. There I stood on the ledge of a building, looking down at the ground. After a minute I managed to calm myself down, and realized I had been flying a few moments ago.

That woman also mentioned something about flying. I checked my back and saw I had a glider attached to my back. I was a little nervous, but it was working, so there’s no reason it shouldn’t work again right?

So I jumped off of the build and the glider shot out. I wasn’t sure how to use it at first, so I kinda just went down, but I did so safely. It was also a lot of fun. So I climbed onto the ledge to a staircase that goes down and jumped again.

This time I was able to move better, and I flew down to the town square. I landed in front of a large yet familiar waterfall. I looked around and all the buildings around me were also familiar. It was like I was in the City of Mondstadt, from Genshin Impact.

In fact, I was also flying around as the characters do in the game. Something like that isn't normally possible, but I definitely just did it. Perhaps I was dreaming, I guess that would explain everything, then again, wouldn’t I be able to wake up if I knew I was dreaming?

Maybe not, I’ve never had a lucid dream, so I don't know how they work. But if I am asleep I might as well enjoy it. So I straight up climbed up a building and once again jumped off it. I fly over to a new area and climb up something else. After a while, I feel as though I’ve mastered the art of flying.

I make my way up to the Cathedral and see the giant statue towering above the city. I know immediately that I have to climb it and fly over the whole city. I start to climb, and when I’m about to hit the top I hear someone call my name.

I look down and see two women, they look like characters from the game. One was a tall busty woman, or Lisa. The other was a small cute maid or Noelle. I jumped off the statue and flew down to them.

I greeted them and they asked me If I was Adam. I nod and ask them if it’s not obvious that I am. Noelle says it's not obvious, then asks me if I have looked at myself since I woke her up. I shook my head, telling her no.

Why would I? I looked down and saw I was wearing a strange outfit. I had a red and white hoodie on, but it had some sort of chest opening. I also had a skirt on, with thigh-high socks and long white boots on.

I looked down and out loud I said that that was crazy. I also mentioned how I thought it was crazy a dream could be so detailed. That's when Lisa laughed, telling me this way no dream, she also mentioned that she was Ervin and Noelle was Trent.

I looked at them like they were crazy, I still believed I was dreaming until they told me to put my hands on my chest. I reached up and I had to bump there, and on top of it I could feel them, it was like they were real.

I looked at them and asked if I was a girl, to which they nodded their heads. I asked them which character I became as I couldn’t tell, all I knew was it was a pyro character. To my horror I became Amber.

Of all the characters to get stuck as I became basic and boring Amber, while Trent is over here as the cutest maid in all the lands, and Ervin is the sexiest librarian to ever hold a book. I put my hands on my head and scream.

Noelle asks me how I didn’t notice, and if I really thought everything was a dream. I confirm I thought it was, and that I woke up flying and got very distracted by it. I told them it was quite fun, and they should try it.

But Noelle seemed to want to focus on the bigger picture. We began to discuss the events that led to us being trapped here. All Together all we know is something blew up, and we were hit with a strange energy.

Then we all woke up here as the characters we were playing. So at the very least, we know that we were in the genshin impact game because we were playing it when we were hit with the energy. But beyond that we have no idea how to get back out, or even if we’re alive in our world.

I mean we did hit that wall pretty hard, and according to Trent her old body was at the bottom of the pile being squished. As we were sitting there thinking of ideas to get out, Lisa straight up asked if we had to leave. Noelle and I looked at her confused.

She said she actually really liked this body, plus this world was awesome. She made a ton of good points about how amazing a life here would be, then she said she wanted to stay. Then Noelle agreed, saying without any leads to even go home, might as well enjoy life here.

Then they looked at me, saying that we’ve always done things together, so if I really wanted to go home, they would help me and find a way for all of us to go home. I look down at the ground and think to myself. I am one of the worst characters, but I’m still much cooler than my old self.

If we stay, we can spend every day fighting cool monsters, using epic powers and equipment and overall hanging out together. I look up at them and tell them I’ll stay here with them. Everyone seems happy and we do a group hug.

Then we all stand next to each other trying to figure out what we should be doing now. That's when Piamon flew up to us. Piamon told us the traveler was in trouble and needed to go and save them. We all look at each other and smile. We tell Piamon to lead the way and we all jump off the ledge and fly into our new lives!
