Star power isn't the draw for this movie though - Robocop is. All will be explained here soon, be patient. :) ED-209 - yikes. I love Red Foreman in this. xD Obviously not his real name but that's the name that I'll always identify him with. Cops generally don't have helmets like that, yeah. These ones do though - so we can assume that they're thrown into these situations more often than cops are in real life. That line "Dead or alive, you're coming with me." I'm hoping that you'll remember it later on. Red Foreman! xD That's his name in my world. :P Right, yeah - these monsters are straight psychopathic murderers. Murphy's one TOUGH cop! Living through all of that is crazy impossible. No, he's dead, 100% dead. He'll be big but not stupid large. lol, yeah, big but not giant. I don't really know what you were picturing. They didn't program that. That's supposed to show that he still has his humanity. I think there was a four year difference? Pretty sure this came out in 87. Not positive though. lmao! ABOUT TIME YOU RECOGNIED HIM!! xD hahahaha, wow. I was worried that you never watched that show somehow. A bullet wound to his face would deal significant damage to his appearance but he's a machine at this point. Right, yeah. Murphy as we knew him is dead now. She loves her gum! Comparing ED-209 with Gumby?! xD That's hilarious. This movie used A LOT of bullets, yeah! lmao, that SUX had 8.2 mpg xD lol, "Really shitty gas mileage" was right! hahahaha Right, yeah. This movie came out before Terminator 2, but after the original. Happy that you enjoyed this despite it not being nearly as great as either of The Terminator movies. I like this one too but I feel the same. This movie's over the top violence definitely puts it in another league from The Terminator in an almost comical way, I feel. That could be why I liked this one, not for the story obviously but for the over the top violence and villains. xD Boddicker/Red Foreman was an excellent villain. :) He was a bad guy 100%.

I think you clocked on with the constant "the world is burning... but anyway, check out this new car" news reports though. "Somebody wanna call a god damn paramedic??!!" After the guy gets completely shredded by ED209 is still one of my favorite lines.

2024-09-07 22:41:41 +0000 UTCIt was WILD I was allowed to watch this film as a child. I’m pretty sure we wore out the vhs tape. Paul Verhoeven’s work is off putting to folks due to the violence but if you can see his sense of humor in it they really are smart, enjoyable films. The Arnie Total Recall is very similar to this film in that way if you haven’t seen it.

Then we tried a lit match 🔥 I'm happy to say my eyebrows did grow back. I was surprised you didn't recognize Ronny Cox (Dick) from Beverly Hills Cop as Andrew Bogomil. And he was also in the movie Deliverance as Drew, which is an excellent movie if you haven't seen it. The lady cop Anne Lewis was played by Nancy Allen, who was in Dressed to Kill and Carrie (1976); both are great movies too.
