The council decides: The girl in the haunted mansion

Welcome my fellow council members, as you know we are here to decide the fate of the one known as TG0lover123. Many ideas were submitted and we all voted on one, now we shall watch as it unfolds. TG0lover123 woke up one morning to find they had received a very unique piece of mail. It was from an attorney overseeing the assets of a woman named Victoria Bandini. Apparently she was a distant relative of TG0lover123, but they of course had never heard of her before.

The letter explained that she left her home for TG0lover123 in her will. It was almost too good to be true, so TG0lover123 called the attorney and he confirmed it. He gave TG0lover123 the address and told them where the key was to get in. It was a day's drive away, so TG0lover123 packed a bag of clothes and headed out towards their new home to check it out. It was an extremely boring ride to what seemed like a bum town in the middle of nowhere.

They thought the house was going to be in town but the directions took them past the town into the deep woods nearby. From there it was about a three mile ride down an old dirt road. TG0lover123 was shocked to find an enormous mansion at the address. TG0lover123 looked in the spot the lawyer mentioned for the key, almost jumping with joy when it was there. They headed inside and looked around. It was a bit messy and needed some maintenance but otherwise it was an amazing house with tons of rooms.  

TG0lover123 was starting to get hungry so they went to head to their car so they could head back to town and get some food. As they grabbed the door handle it felt like something flew into them, followed by hearing someone say Victoria. It was weird, but obviously these old homes tend to be a bit creepy. So they continued to town and found a nice dinner to eat at. They ordered and sat at the counter, the place wasn’t very busy so after cleaning up a bit the cashier came over to talk.

The man asked ‘what brought them to this hole in the wall’. TG0lover123 told them all about the house and asked if anyone around her knew Victoria. The man looked off, not saying anything for a good minute. He turned back and said, ‘You know that place is haunted right?” Thinking he was joking TG0lover123 laughed and said yeah, all those old places feel like that. The man's face soured, “I’m not joking, many people have seen crazy things there over the years.”

More than just a bit curious, TG0lover123 decided to indulge the men by asking about the things that happened in the house. “Well for starters, the house is haunted by the previous owners of the home”. Rolling their eyes they ask if there was anything else. “Don’t believe that huh, well how about the strange fact that all the owners were women named victoria.”  That could be a bit strange, but TG0lover123 thought that Victoria was a name passed on just like the house.

“I get it kid you think it’s all stories, but I suppose it’s your house and your risk to take.” Customers started filling the dinner, so TG0lover123 finished their meal and made the trip back to the mansion. Even if it was haunted, TG0lover123 wasn’t worried. Although according to the man, as the new owner, there's a chance they end up as a ghost in there one day. So it was probably best to sell the house and move on.

Deciding to think about it another day, TG0lover123 decided to head to the master bedroom to sleep for the night. The bed was huge, and one of the most comfortable they had ever been on, they were about to have the best sleep of their life. They woke up feeling very well rested but also somewhat strange. TG0lover123 went to the bathroom connected to the bedroom, in the bathroom it had a large standing mirror. That’s when they noticed a few strange things.

Their hair seemed longer than it was yesterday, on top of that it seemed like they had gained some weight. Their clothes still fit, although they were a bit tight, so they shrugged it off and went off to find some breakfast. Of course there wasn’t a spec of food in the house and seeing as they were going to be here for a few days they might as well get some groceries. They grabbed their phone to check where the nearest store was and to see when it opened.

Before they unlocked their phone they noticed that the date was wrong, for some reason it was five days ahead of what it was yesterday. Perhaps their phone was acting up and fixed itself overnight. They did a quick search and found where the local grocery is located, it was a couple blocks from the restaurant they visited last night. They weren't open yet, but by the time TG0lover123 would arrive they would be opening up. 

So off they went, they shouldn’t need more than a few days worth of food. A few cereal boxes and a couple microwavable dinners should be enough. As they went to grab a thing of milk TG0lover123 overheard two employees talking about the mansion. “Did you hear someone new is at that horrid mansion?” It seemed a lot of people bought into the haunted theory. “Yeah apparently some kid is staying there, Barney talked to them last week.” That confused them for a second, they only got there yesterday. More than likely they’re talking about the attorney that came to inspect the house.

TG0lover123 decided to stop eavesdropping and finished their shopping. Once again they headed back to the mansion. They put away the groceries and poured themself a bowl of cereal, they went to the massive living room and turned on the television. Everything was normal, until a book dropped from a shelf nearby, followed by something saying Victoria again. TG0lover123 jumped up, starting to believe the stories they’d been hearing. They called out asking if there was anyone in here.

It was quiet for a moment, then once again something said Victoria. TG0lover123 started to freak out a bit more and went to leave the room, that’s when it felt like something flew into them. Shortly after this feeling they passed out. They woke up back in the master bedroom, this time though she felt very different. She sat up and could barely see. Something inside her told her to reach towards the end table, she did find a pair of glasses.

It was strange to suddenly need them, but she put them on. They worked, she could now see perfectly. She headed off to use the bathroom, where she once again encountered the big mirror. She was shocked at the reflection she saw. She was wearing the previous owner's lingerie, that wasn’t even the craziest thing. She was also a woman now, boobs and all. Her hair was now super long and she had gained quite a bit of weight. 

So much had changed overnight, how could this have happened. That’s when she decided to check her phone, she checked the date to see if she lost any more time. She dropped the phone, almost breaking it. This time she didn’t lose a week or two, it was now nearly a year later. She scrambled around trying to find anything that could explain or fill in this missing time. She found a diary in the drawer that seemed pretty recent.

As far as she could tell, a ghost had possessed her and just continued to live life. Since she possessed them for such a long time, their body morphed into an exact duplicate of her former body. Also in the desk was a new set of documents matching her new body and appearance, and wouldn’t you guess it, she was now Victoria Bandini the fifth. The most recent page in the diary was actually a message to the real owner of the body.

“If you are reading this, you’ve woken up in a very strange body. It took me a lot of work to create it, so I hope you enjoy it. There's no going back. Now I have to be honest, we’re not actually related. I left my estate to you purely so I could possess you after my death.” “I knew I would die soon and I had some unfinished business to take care of and well I used you to do that. Now that I’ve done that I will be moving on and leaving you with your new fantastic body. You’ll find all the things you’ll need in the drawer next to you, so you’ll be able to slip into your new life. I hope you enjoy it Victoria.”

She should have believed the rumors and high tailed it out of here before all this happened. Now she has to adapt to this new pudgy but adorable form. Hopefully that was the only ghost, who knows what would change if another decided to take over. So the fate of TG0lover123 has been forever changed. This council is now dismissed, I will see you all next time, unless of course you're the next one to meet a new fate.
