Do you believe in cursed objects? Yeah probably not, in our world something like that is pure fantasy. Well, at least I used to think so. I learned the hard way that they are in fact real, and all around us. You see, I wasn’t always this short and Peter farm girl, actually just three years ago I was the exact opposite. Back then I was over six feet tall and nearly two hundred pounds, and despite being nearly fifty I was pretty fit. That was all suddenly taken from me one day. At the time I had recently purchased more land so I could expand my farm. So I was out there clearing the fields and testing and preparing the soil for planting season. While I was clearing the area I found an old wooden box, it looked like it used to be buried underground, it was likely washed up by heavy amounts of rain over the years. So I grab a crowbar and pry it open.
I wasn’t completely shocked to find out it contained a skeleton of a woman. So less of a box and more of a last-minute makeshift coffin. Judging by the craftsmanship, and the clothes of the woman, she was likely from about two hundred years ago. There were a few things inside the coffin with the woman, a gold ring and necklace, a note written in a language I can’t read, and a really nice sunhat. Despite being quite old the sunhat was in great condition. Using my tractor I pulled the coffin as close to the street and called the authorities at the Lhongfork police department. Since she was already dead, they didn’t rush out, but I still had to stop working, so I pretty much lost a day's work waiting around for them. Detectives arrive along with an ambulance to retrieve the body and inspect the area. The leading officer came up to me afterward and explained that there was no sign of foul play, so it was likely an unmarked grave that had been forgotten over time.
He said they’d take the body to a proper resting spot and rebury it. He thanked me for calling and handling this appropriately. He then placed the sunhat on my head, saying to keep it as a sort of reward. I looked at him like he was crazy, and he just laughed as he walked away. Not long after that everyone left, and I packed up and headed to the main part of my farm, where my house is located. I placed the sunhat at the end of my bed and went to take a shower. I needed to wash all that dirt and stink off. When I returned I just kinda stared at the hat, playing with it in my hands. It was definitely handmade but really sturdy. I kept thinking about the woman who owned it. The land where I found her used to also be a farm until it was abandoned some time ago. Perhaps she was related to the woman I bought the land from. Either way, I think I’ll make a little thing dedicated to her, with the hat as the centerpiece.
I placed it on my night table and drifted off to sleep. That night I had a dream where I was speaking to a woman. The woman, short and petite, with long black hair, blue eyes, and a perky chest, started yelling at me in a strange language. Eventually switching to my language. She had an awful lot to say to me. The highlights are that she was killed by one of my ancestors. The original owner of this farm. I tried to apologize on his behalf, which she seemed to accept, then came the second part. When she was killed she was also pregnant. Being killed without the chance to see her child come into existence, was causing her so much grief that she couldn’t pass on to the next world. She then asked me for my help, I wasn’t sure exactly how I could help, but I agreed anyway. She smiled and flew into me. After that, I kinda sorta blacked out, and I stayed that way for almost a year. At that time, the woman was in complete control of my body, and it was all thanks to that sunhat.
Her spirit was attached to it, and when the officer put it on my head she was able to attach herself to me, after that all she needed to do was get me to accept giving her control of my body, which I stupidly fell for. Well as you can see, during her time in control, she completely changed my body. It’s now the exact same as the one I saw her using in the dream. Small, petite, with long hair, blue eyes, and these heavy-ass boobs. That wasn’t the only thing I woke up to. When I woke up that morning, there was a big muscular man sleeping next to me. It turned out she had married him, and on top of that, they had a baby together. That’s more than likely why I was in control again, she fulfilled her desires and passed over, leaving me to deal with the aftermath. It was a rough second year, but by the start of this year, I’ve fully adjusted. I’ll admit, I thought being a farmer was tough, but being a mother is even harder. Not that I’d change it now, my daughter Jenna is so sweet and my entire world now, and having a big strong man around to do most of my old work is pretty nice as well.
