The Tale of Gabriel Mandrake: Pt2

The fairy chucked. “Well, your big sisters will show you so much more that we know you’ll enjoy, you just have to come with us to our village.” After that, the fairy ordered the others to release Gabriel. Gabriel looked up, she could go with them and be good, maybe get her old body back.

Or she could flee now that the fairies were off guard, but she’d need to find a new way to get her body back, and likely have to deal with some weird humans. Thinking quickly Gabriel grabs a fist full of dirt and throws it into the fairies' faces and runs off.

“I need to get out of here, which way is the exit?” Gabriel picks a path and runs as fast as she can down it. Several miles in, she realized she made a mistake, as the density of the forest increased. “Damn I’m further in the forest now, even worse, I’m now unarmed and wearing nothing but a dress.”

“I could turn back now, but if those fairies followed me I’ll likely reencounter them. I should set up a shelter for tonight and figure out what to do tomorrow.” Gabriel looks around and finds a decent cave next to a small pond to set up at.

“I should be able to build a small fire inside the cave without any enemies noticing. The pond here also seems to have drinkable water. If I need to, I can camp out here for a few days to avoid trouble.” Gabriel gathers several piles of sticks from the surrounding area and piles them up inside the cave.

She goes back outside to find some rocks that are capable of creating sparks to try and light it. Serval minutes later she returned and knelt down by her stick pile and started to strike the stones against each other.

Strike after strike and little tiny sparks come flying out, but nothing sets the pile on fire. “Dammit, come on. It’s cold and I’m basically naked in this dress. Please just light up.” Gabriel starts desperately smashing the stones together until they break into pieces.

“Dammit, you stupid sticks just burn.” Gabriel tosses the broken stones on the ground and angrily pints at the pile of sticks while yelling at it. Suddenly something shoots out of her fingers and hits the pile of sticks, then it starts to smoke.

“Whoa, did I just shoot fire? I guess I’m technically a fairy now, so being able to use magic should come naturally.” Gabriel then point both her hands at the pile and started to imagine fire shooting out of them.

Magic start to gather in the palms of her hands and once it amassed enough it shot towards the pile. Now Gabriel had a raging fire to keep her warm. “That actually awesome, magic is amazing.” “Although I wouldn’t say it’s worth giving up my manhood and my expensive armor and weapons.”

Gabriel sighs and puts a few more sticks on the fire before walking back outside to go drink from the pond. She kneels at the edge of the pond and leans down to sip from it. Before she gets all the way she stops when she sees her new appearance.

“Wow, I don’t even recognize myself anymore, I’m truly a dainty fairy girl.” “I might be able to get one of the high mages in Larjiria to help me change back, but I’d have to sneak through the capital city. Considering fairies are supposed to be extinct, there are some really bad people who want to get their hands on me.”

Gabriel looks at her reflection and continues to lower her head to get some water. She started to sip, but the water seems to be thicker than any she ever had, and it seemed like it was starting to move. “That’s strange… Wait a second..”

Gabriel jumped backward away from the water, falling onto her butt. “Dammit, how could I be so foolish?” The water from the pond started to pull itself out and crawl toward her. “A slime, and a giant one at that, I need to get away now.”

Gabriel jumped up and turned around, but the slime was quick and grabbed her leg. This caused her to trip, and start to panic like crazy. “No, no, let me go. I don’t want to be dissolved by you.” Gabriel begins trying to kick it off of herself, but this causes it to cover her even quicker.

In a matter of minutes, she’s completely engulfed by the slime. She’s unable to move and starts to feel slight burning sensations all over her body. She’s helpless and can't move a muscle as the slime returns to its original state as the pond it was acting as.

“I need to get out of this thing.” Gabriel continues to try and break free. Slowly her clothes burn away leaving her completely naked. “Dammit, as much as I hated wearing a dress, I’d rather not be naked.”

“My only chance to get out of this thing alive is to use magic again, but slimes are known to be flammable and explosive so I can’t use fire. Think Gabriel think, what can I use while inside a monster?”

An idea popped into Gabriel’s head, and she closed her eyes and focused on collecting mana. Once she thought she had enough she had it explode outward. The wave of magic froze the slime pond entirely.

“Nice it’s frozen, but I’m still stuck… Maybe if I do the same thing, but use some sort of wind magic, I can break the pond into pieces.” Gabriel once again gathered mana into her body and expelled a greatest big gust of wind.

This caused the pond to shatter sending pieces of it flying all around the surrounding area. “Yes, let's go! I’m so glad it worked.” Gabriel climbed out of the hole left behind by the slime pond and made her way back to her cave.

She laid down next to her fire and tried to warm up. “All that magic really takes a toll on my body. I’m so tired I feel I could sleep for a week.” She stretched and started to try and get comfortable. “I suppose a little nap won't hurt, and maybe in the morning, I can figure out what I should do next.

Learning how to use my new magical powers might be a good idea, but I should also try to get out of these woods.” She closed her eyes and started to drift to sleep. “I also need some clothes, I can’t walk around naked. I’m sure there are some horny men that would love to see that, hell even explore the body of a girl like that. Maybe I should beat them to it.” With that, Gabriel falls asleep.
