A couple of months ago a local noble's mansion caught fire and burned mostly to the ground. The noble and most of the staff escaped unharmed except for a young girl named Katlin, they held a funeral for her, and the noble relocated somewhere else. My friend Conner heard a rumor that the basement was untouched by the fire and was blocked by debris. He said that if we unblock it we could take whatever is inside, it sounded like an easy way to make some cash so I agreed.

We got to the mansion and looked around, it was pretty deep in the woods so no one should be around. We located the basement and cleared the debris then headed into the basement. Like the rumors had said, it was untouched. The downside is most of it is junk, some extra food and cleaning supplies, and some extra furniture. So we spent a few hours sifting through until I found this box with a warning label on it. It read danger do not open and had a big lock on it.

I of course didn’t listen and cracked it open while Conner watched. We both weren't surprised to find an ordinary serving tray inside. Conner sighed and sat down in defeat, I picked up the tray to inspect it trying to see why they'd lock it up. After holding it for a minute this immense pain took over my body, and I fell to the ground yelling. Conner freaked out and ran out of the basement. As I lay on the ground in pain my body began to change.

My bones crushed down and I lost about a foot in height, my hips popped out and any muscle I had went away. My hair grew out a little and turned pink.
