When the dust cleared the moonlight shined upon The Mad King, with Swetyne kneeling on the ground, only being held up by the sword she had taken by him. Adelia looked towards him furious, she wasn’t about to let this menace kill her wife.
She turned towards Vellith. “Vellith I need you to teleport me to the throne room in the castle.” Vellith looked shocked. “Even if I had enough mana to do that, what good would it do? If Swetyne couldn’t beat that guy it’s hopeless.”
“I have to try, please.” Vellith closed her eyes. “Like I said, I don’t have..” Rargy had walked over and placed her hand on Vellith's shoulder. “What are you..” “I don’t use it, but I know I mana, take all of it.” “I suppose that would work, but you’ll likely pass out and be useless.”
“That’s fine, somehow I get the feeling this next fight ain’t mine.” Vellith looked back at Adelia. “Prepare yourself, it likely won’t be a warm welcome.” Adelia nodded and prepared herself. Vellith cast the spell and Adelia was instantly sent to The Mad King’s destroyed throne room.
“I… I won’t let you win…” “LOOKS LIKE YOU DON’T HAVE A CHOICE, ONCE I KILL YOU I’LL RECLAIM THE REST OF THE GOD OF DEATH SOUL AND BE INVINCIBLE!” The Man King was about to rush to Swetyne when Adelia appeared.
“Adelia? What… What are you doing here?” “I’m here to save you.” Swetyne coughed up a bit of blood. “You can’t it’s too dangerous, get to safety…” “Not a chance, if you're in danger I’ll stand with you and face it together.” Adelia smiled and Swetyne let out a small smile in response.
“SO GLAD THE PRECIOUS PRINCESS COULD MAKE AN APPEARANCE, AND I REALLY LIKE THE HEARTFELT REUNION. IT’LL MAKE KILLING YOU EVEN BETTER.” The Mad King dashed at the two of them and Adelia pushed Swetyne out of the way and took the hit.
“ADELIA!!!” Adelia flew across the room and rolled as she landed ripping several of her clothes. She reached to her sides, normally she had her bag of stuff, but she had just used her last item, so all she had now was her daggers.
“I’m not great with these, but if they’re all I have left, I’ll use them.” The Mad King rushed her again, she swung her daggers to hit him but they just bounced off. He once again hit her across the room, bruising her body and tearing her clothes more.
She lost one of her daggers, and despite the pain, she stood back up. “I.. Have.. to keep going..” “ENOUGH OF THIS, THIS TIME YOU’LL STAY DOWN.” The Mad King walked up to her, knocked her other dagger out of her hand as she tried to attack with it, and grabbed her by the throat.
“NOW PRINCESS YOU DIE, AND AFTER THAT, I’LL KILL YOUR ARMY, RESSURECT MY ARMY, AND STORM YOUR KINGDOM AND KILL EVERYONE IN IT, INCLUDING YOUR FAMILY.” Adelia being choked struggled to get words out. “No.. no…”
“NO? YOU REALLY THINK BEGGING IS GOING TO HELP?” Adelia smiled and forced the words out. “Not today asshole!” The Mad King looked confused, especially as the tip of his sword entered his vision, and bursts of blood sprayed the area in front of him.
“WHAT… THE HELL?” The Mad King drops Adelia and turns around. Standing behind him was Swetyne, fully recovered from the explosion. She had just pierced the sword of death through the Mad King's back and through his heart.
“YOU WRETCHED BITCH! I’LL KILL YOU!” The Mad King pushes on the tip of the blade and forces the sword out of his body, and despite bleeding profusely he starts swinging at Swetyne. “How... How the hell are you fighting, never mind still alive?”
Swetyne dodges and blockers as many of his attacks as possible while hoping he just passes out and dies from blood loss. “Shit, I can’t keep this up forever.” “Does he have a crystal, I can destroy it?” “Yeah, but the pieces broke into his face and neck.”
“That might be a problem…” “FOR YOU, THANKS TO THAT I CAN’T DIE! HAHAHAHAHA!” The Mad King keeps attacking Swetyne. Swetyne was trying everything she could, but kicks, punches, and even her spare sword didn’t do anything, and The Mad King wouldn't let up at all.
So getting the sword of death back was going to be impossible. “Shit... Adelia, tell me you can come up with a plan.” “May…Maybe..” Adelai looked around and noticed a large pillar that had fallen over when the room exploded.
Adelia had a plan. She pointed at the pillar and made a shoving moshing so Swetyne would know the plan, but The Mad King wouldn’t. Swetyne nodded and led The Mad King until he was standing right in front of the pillar.
Adelia was nearby doing something but Swetyne couldn’t see it, but she trusted her wife. So with all the power she could muster Swetyne slammed into The Mad King, causing him to lose his balance a bit and raise one of his feet.
Swetyne acted quickly and fell to the ground, grabbed his foot, and helped him finish tripping over the pillar. The Mad King fell backward and cracked the floor as he landed. “IS THAT REALLY YOUR PLAN, TO PUSH ME OVER? YOU LOT ARE TRULY PATHETIC. HAHAHA…”
The sound of wicked laughter was cut short with the sound of screams and metal swinging. The Mad King's head had been plopped off by the sword of death wielded by none other than Adelia. Swetyne sat there completely shocked and speechless.
“Wow, this sword is sharper than it looks… I really didn’t intend to take the head all the way off.” Adelia says with a smile. She drops the sword and runs over to Swetyne. She hugs her. “I’m so glad you’re safe Swetyne.”
Swetyne snaps out of it and hugs her back while running her hand through her hair. “I’m glad you’re safe as well Adelia.” The two embrace for a minute before turning towards the remains of The Mad King.
“I can’t believe you cut his head off.” Adelia turned bright red. “I really didn’t mean to, I swear.” Adelia started to cry a bit. “Was it too far? I mean he was bad, but does that make me bad as well.” Swetyne started laughing. “Why are you laughing?”
“No, you’re a hero, and it was honestly badass.” Adelia let out a sigh. “Oh… you had me worried.” Swetyne laughed again and walked over to The Mad King’s head. “I guess we got to destroy this. How did you get rid of the other one?”
“Oh, I had a special mixture I used. We can meet up with the others and retrieve my extra stuff from the army.” “Sounds good to me, we should also destroy this sword.” “What you don’t want to keep it?” “No? It screams when it swings, that freaks me out.”
Adelia laughs and grabs Swetyn's hand and the two begin their walk out of the castle dragging along the head of The Mad King and the Sword of Death. They had one the battle and it was time for a bit of celebration.
