2025-10-08 06:10:02 +0000 UTCHey gents just wanted to chime in on the "blood lust" aspect that its brought up with this ninja aswell as when they first encountered zabuza. I feel it's such a critical aspect of combat so many shows and anime gloss over. When I was in the USMC we had a phrase to describe this we would do many live fire exercises from shooting at the range to recreation of combat scenarios with live rounds you would fire while running climbing crawling through the mud in the pitch dark with nothing but the light of flares overhead to guide your way while the a CO2 "bombs" being blasted next to you. "Essentially super compressed air" so there's no real risk while still giving you the deafening sound and the "shell shock" experience as other marines shoot live rounds out of belt fed machine guns about 15 feet over head. However all throughout training you are constantly told while it is preparing you nothing can truly prepare you to be fired at "in hatred" which Essentially refers to just this phenomenon the show goes into the first time you experience and truly understand this isn't training anymore they really do hate you and wish to take your life. These are the moments you find out what everyone around you is truly made of it honestly broke some of who I thought to be the strongest men while others that i never even took note of truly rise to the occasion but one universal experience for anyone thst goes through this is the first time no matter how tough bad or gangster you are you will freeze and you will choke. And all you can do is rely on the man next to you to pull you out of it and bring you back to reality. This is there 2nd dose of exposure to this feeling but this time Kakashi is not around they must do it for each other and themselves truly astonishing charecter growth. I still remember the men that did this for me its a interaction that leaves a impression for a lifetime I've been out of the service for about 5 years and it's been about 7 years since I had these same emotions there depicting I was 19 im now 27 and not a day goes by that I don't think if those men in those moments there really is no bond quite like it.
