Progressed a bit more with the new model, giving it slightly updated Gloria hair, new eyebrows, new eyelashes, makeup, new, made-from-scratch eyes, rigged, and weight painted.
This is going really well this time around. The rigging went much smoother, and the weight painting took me a fraction of the time, which is partly due to the model being more optimized
I need to go back to the textures and edit them, the skin is a bit off colour for Gloria because when I started I was actually planning on making a new character called Sophia but she will come later. I also want some more colour variation in the skin, as it's a bit bland right now.
As for what's planned next, I'm aiming to finish this model to make it animation-ready, so next will either be an animation or a short comic first, and then the animation. Nothing major, I don't want to aim too high, so it will be more like a loop animation or something.
I reached out to a big 3d artist, and they very kindly gave me some tips on collision/cloth simulation, so I want to make use of that as soon as I can.
