I don't know what demon possessed me but I really wanted to work on a head turn animation. OH BOY. This was so hard. I am not completely new to animation (did some exercises in the past, nothing crazy) and I know how to draw and rotate forms in a 3d space + animation principles and STILL this was so time consuming. And it's just somewhat a sketch.
The hardest thing was maintaining the volume of the hair (I failed during the last 2 frames cause I was so damn tired lol) and her neck is a bit fucked lol but I really wanted to post where I got to today. And I'm so proud of the result! I'm happy with how her face did not distort during the turn and that I managed to squeeze in a smile and made her blink too. It looks somewhat natural and I didn't think I could do this but I did it!
Some frames are missing but the majority of the movement is done. I don't know if I want to add some stars around her or more hair movement, maybe a more relaxed expression at the very end??
I really would like to explore more these kind of small animations, it's amazing practice in general and the results are so nice it's def worth the effort!
Let me know if you want more OC posts in the future! It's very motivating when you guys are interested as well :D
