Yoh, what are your thoughts on 3D Animation in the anime industry? Houseki no Kuni had nice shaders/materials (i.e. translucent hair, bounce light, liquids), and they utilized their camera in the 3D space in interesting ways. It's promising to see a studio work with 3D this way, but I know 3D can divide a lot of fans due to its' reputation of rigid motion and poor shader quality.

For Yoh Yoshinari: Do you ever have a problem with inconsistencies in your art? For example, when you focus only on one aspect of a project for a while, does your other skills deteriorate? If so, how do you combat that? Do you have to practice everything, everyday?

Does Studio TRIGGER still use the RETAS Software (Traceman/Paintman)? The behind the scenes always show a lot of the animating (which I LOVE) but not a whole lot of the scanning/coloring process. Thanks!

How do you pay your animators? Do you pay by commission or set wages? Do you outsource a lot or is most done in-house? I see that Kyoto Animation uses set wages for their animators and work mostly in-house you can see that that allows them to put quality over quantity in their works, that's why I'm asking =)

Do drawers enter the process when making merchandising figures? In many occasions the protagonists are very strong and in the figures it is not reflected.
