Added 2021-03-10 06:35:20 +0000 UTCI have another point I want to make. I was thinking more heavily about the primitive society and about the fact that they may be trying to hide something. It may not be just that the person in charge wants to keep them ignorant. It may be that he also wants to keep the outside world ignorant as well. The whole society may be a cover for something the leader might be hiding. The reason he wants to keep the society primitive, may be because if the people are ignorant, they are easier to control. The leader may be hiding something here from the citizens themselves, but also the world. It would make more sense on why he doesn’t want tech in here, cameras especially. If people record something and get it out, the whole world may know what they are hiding and want to get in to discover it, tear it down or retrieve what they had been hiding. I don’t know what it is or if it’s even true, but it certainly seems so!!
If people just think it’s an outdated society filled with farmers, they wouldn’t want to investigate the area as much! It’s definitely an ingenius idea!

I guess the start of CA isn't as slow as I remembered? Anyway, if she does 80-81, and 83-85 (which would be optimal), then what about 82? **Also, on my 2nd watch of Ep. 80 I realized how significant it is for the rest of the arc. Definitely noticed things I didn't think were so important on my first watch. I'm a bad HxH fan 😩.

And I have to say: The more I hear the recurring themes in this anime, the more I enjoy them xD Also: I'm completely with you, in that I too expect the king to be power-hungry and that he'll probably start to turn this into a full-on war. Lastly, I didn't even consider that the ants could have the ability to use Nen/ learn how to use it (which was probably really dumb and naive of me😂). But now that you’ve said it, I think it makes complete sense and I’m basically certain that it is going to happen xD

2021-03-10 16:55:17 +0000 UTCAnd not just that: (As you already implied above) It isn't even clear how much of our behaviour is determined by genetics and how much by other influences (friends, family, upbringing etc,), let alone which genes would influence which behaviours. And even if it was controlled completely by genetics: Such complex systems as our psyche would have to be influenced by a lot of different genes, leaving a lot of possible combinations, so that it would be literally impossible for siblings to turn out exactly the same (unless they were twins of course). But that's also not to say, that there aren't at least some traits that are more or less likely to occur within a family; it is just to say that one shouldn't be surprised if they DON'T turn up with some of the family members :)

A lot of people get put off by the overhype of it, and find the first parts very boring. Your theories are enjoyable to hear, and prove how interested you are in this arc and the show as a whole. P.s. did you notice my favorite part of episode 79? The way Killua was riding the horse haha. If you missed it, hopefully you see it while editing!

Lovely reaction as always. Can't wait for more ;D btw I suggested a triple reaction from 82 to 84, BUT THAT'S A MISTAKE. I meant 83 to 85. Sorry! Anyways even if you don't do it, still perfect pacing <3

Some of us even look less like our parents than we do our grandparents. We get one of two chromosomes from our parents to form 23 pairs, like the X and Y sex chromosomes, and it makes a difference if you get the X chromosome from your mother’s mother and your sibling gets their’s from your mother’s father. Different combinations of paired chromosomes have different results, and this applies not only to sex chromosomes.

Lol, I think it will still be a good reaction. I love how you are appreciating the character designs of the Chimera Ants, there really are some good ones in there. So, it's becoming harder and harder to talk about these episodes, especially to answer your questions without spoiling. But your insight and your theories are great to hear so keep it coming! Good job, you learned a new word! 👏I was wondering when you were gonna pull out that Thesaurus app 😄, though I couldn't tell what word you were trying to use (I think antithesis?). Now you can imagine how it was like for us months ago when you were talking about TPN and AOT and the theme of questioning humanity and the struggle of considering the 'antagonist's perspective. The HxH fans were like 🙊. These episodes and reactions can't come soon enough... I'm loving how perceptive and invested you seem to be for this arc. It's got me so hype I just count the days in between. At the same time, I dread the day you'll be done reacting to HxH and I'll be depressed like when your favorite show ends and you don't know what to do with your life😭. There are so many fascinating characters in this arc and I love how you're already questioning whether the ants are really the villains or not. This arc has probably some of the best writing in a show I've ever seen and I don't expect you to see all of it the first watch so I won't blame you fir missing some stuff when things get more complex, but I hope myself and other HxH veterans can help nudge you along to sime of the more brilliant stuff that took us a few watches to get. It's too early for me to gush about the cooler buts if this arc so I can only really express my unwavering giddiness and anticipation for you to delve deep into this.
