I think this episode is much more important than at first glance. Like Dimple said sometime at the bottom of the deepest despair you find tremendous courage. But unfortunately not everyone is able to. That lead to problem like self harm or suicide. I think it is still overlooked and dismissed even though we as a society are more aware of it than just a few years ago,but it’s still far far from enough.
Mob had the body improvement club, Reigan, his brother, even Dimple. It goes to show that a little kindness can go a long way.
In real life, however, nobody teaches us what to do and how to react. At least not in my education system. I had a coworker that was prone to mental breakdown. In the end we had to let her go because the job was too stressful for her and the longer she stayed the worse it got. She did have a prolonged burnout leave but it didn’t get better. It was a few years ago. At that time I was trying to be understanding but mostly kept to myself because I didn’t know what I could have done to help. I still don’t know today, but I’m more aware of it now and will try to help the little I can.
