I think I’ll start the manga as you react to this. I’ve seen the anime, very interesting, but not sure if you’ll consider it a favorite but if you watch without high expectations then I think you’ll enjoy it. The manga is from the 80’s so the anime’s modernization of the story might cause there to be arguable plot holes due to the existence of cell phones and cameras but I’d be forgiving of that considering the time this story released, it’s not a big problem otherwise.
