2021-10-19 11:01:44 +0000 UTCI don't think it was only laziness, at least some other factors: - If he ran while guarded, he would look even more guilty & risk either getting hurt/killed by the beastmen trying to re-capture him or have to hurt them when they inevitably hunt for him considering that he KNEW Rujerd & the kids were on their way & everything would be cleared up once they arrived (with the kids confirming he actually helped), it was simply the best course of action....plus just 2 episodes ago, he had a talk with Rujerd about the very subject of NOT doing everything alone and also depending on others to solve problems ;)

He got food and they did nothing to him, only boring waiting. The worst they did is splash him with dirty water and keep him in a cell. To be fair it’s not quite true he does a lot to make the situation right. Not always the good thing. But here he had the choice of doing nothing or trying to escape and get lost then how he’s going to find Ruijerd. They were supposed to get the kid back to the village so he knew Ruijerd would come here eventually. Rudy despite being a super pervert He still tries to do the good thing most of the time. Even if sometime we think he does it despite himself 😅
