How come Ifrit didn’t get absorbed? Is he protected somehow? Or is it because he’s a spirit?

2019-03-24 17:45:46 +0000 UTCwell, thats because if she did get eaten she wouldnt have gotten out since predator absorbs what it eats unless its Veldora who has the barrier protecting him from being eaten. When Rimiru doesnt want to absorb something he uses analyze but predator is specifically to absorb things into him. If they didnt seperate then Shizu would have been eaten too. Its aso hinted at since Rimiru was surprised she saw her on the ground, you'd think he wouldnt be if he spat her out.

2019-03-24 05:14:23 +0000 UTCGreat reaction to this great episode, couple things that need to be clarified. First, Ifrit is a fire spirit and is different than a demon. He just happens to look like a demon but it a spiritual entity which Leon put into Shizu. Second thing is that when Shizu lost control Ifrit didn't take over her body but broke out of it, separating himself from Shizu. He basically grew so powerful while using her as a vassle that he could break out of her and exist in a physical form.
