You aren't wrong in thinking that. There is a lack of information on the viewer side at this point.

2019-04-28 03:04:30 +0000 UTCSomething really important with this series is : Always keep in mind which attempt succeed to reach to next checkpoint. The way a Subaru is perceived by each character could be totally different from the previous attempts. A good example is the Sisters. In this attempts Subaru is a guest so he has near to zero interaction with them. He is basically still a stranger to them. The difference might be minor now because this is only the 2nd checkpoint, but Later in the show, it becomes easy to forgets about what happened and what didn't. It could lead you to not understand to character's motives or personalities. So be sure to take sometimes to maybe re watch the successful attempts.
