Everything you said was completely accurate and it really is his mind set that got him into the situation he is in now with Emilia. People are truly trying to help him by being honest with him but he simply refuses to acknowledge it.

So characters that are good friends with him will call him Felis, while other's that aren't on such close terms with him will call him Felix instead. Subaru is just making himself a liability for everyone. Crusch is out here trying to heal him and he's like "imma go save emilia sorry not sorry" and the way he talked to crusch was kinda disrespectful. I'm glad felix told subaru straight up "you going there is not going to be make a difference, even after embarassing yourself in the selection hall and getting rekt by julius, you still don't understand. " We all have friends like that in real life where they need to be told they're a dumb ass cuz they make dumb decisions lol. My subaru type friends always hear it from me haha
