31:00 Roswaal was shown very early on in the series to be able to use (has affinity with) all six kinds of elemental magic. So no, having shadow magic and the potential to use spirit arts doesn't make Subaru particularly special at all.

2020-01-03 02:21:20 +0000 UTCEmilia even remarked in episode 1 how it was unusual to see someone able to casually touch a spirit when Subaru and Puck shook hands/paws when introducing themselves. So it was foreshadowed from the start of the show! Wilhelm was seeing the Unseen Hands by kicking up dust clouds. Emilia was using the cold vapor/fog from her ice interacting with the warmer air. A "blank letter" is a metaphor, as they said. It's not actually blank. It means a letter that suggests you have no intention of speaking to the recipient. So it was just poorly worded. The elements are Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Light, and Shadow.

Hes probably pride. A strong affinity for sloth.. but Subaru is soooo stubborn he could chose which path he wants which is protecting and loving emilia(which is a cool message, aIso with Rems morale support lol) i personally think emila will be vessal for satella. Emilia is so kind hearted dont see her going evil. Great episode , almost done! The blank letter was probably witch cult. The base of the tree is the reset point. But subaru knows all the future events now. Hes so much mentally stronger than before. This anime have to rewatch every few months or so because its so invigorating. Lol @ that pun
