Man if you don't like Kurisu in the anime I'm not sure how much you'd like her original visual novel counterpart. She's less snarky and more cold, distant and totally logical. Okabe loves to spout nonsense that's illogical and that's what annoys her. You'll see why she is like this later, and this is where her original cold personality stems from. Her snarky and witty attitude in the english dub was a good idea and is perfectly executed by the actress. It just doesn't (in my opinion anyway) add up to what her past was like. I highly doubt a personality like that would stem from such past is what I'm saying. I'm going into spoiler territory haha so yeah I'll just leave it at that.

yep, and in the next minute or so of dialogue every time she yells at him and tells him to knock it off it's because he makes another Star Trek reference at her to tease her. The reason this bugs her is because it outs her as a big nerd (along with other instances throughout the show where similar things happen).

Sorry boys if she didn't like the cute scene where Okabe kept getting hung up on she is never gonna like Kurisu lol. Not really sure why though. Personally Kurisu is my favourite anime character of all time and I love how she and Okabe are always trying to piss each other off. You can always tell when people are really close if they do that. They are clearly good friends even if neither of them act like it.

It distresses me greatly your dislike of Kurisu! :( Great reaction - a lot of people reference a later episode but this is where the show really started for me as we saw the real impact of the butterfly effect. Really cool episode!

Kurisu gets more character development in the second half of the show as does the rest of the cast. For me, the first 11 episodes of steins gate are buildups to the climax of the show and thereafter things get a lot more intense. Also, was wondering if you have watched Fate:Zero? If not, it might be a good show to react to considering that the animation is some of the best out there!
