When she went back the second time the time machine didn't get damaged so she remembered everything from the beginning.

When Suzuha went back the first time she lost her memory because of the damage the time machine took in the lighting storm.

It truly was a beautiful episode. I was crying pretty much this whole episode as you guys saw. I am so proud of how kind Daru was here. He was able to tone down the perviness for a bit, but still let it come out in the end! 😅 but he wouldn’t be daru without the perviness so it’s okay.

Easily one of my favorite episodes in the series. Daru, while a bit skeevy from time to time, really shines here. Him and Suzuha have some really solid emotional beats here, both heart lifting and gut wrenching. I mentioned before that I watched this show in an almost 24-hour marathon, and the "I failed. I failed. I failed." scene had me on the floor. This is phenomenal writing.

Yes, she got Amnesia after making the first jump back to 1975. She forgot everything about the time machine, future gadget lab, and her mission to get the IBN 5100. It wasn't until the year 2000 that those memories returned to her, filling her with deep regret and self-loathing.
It's a truly heartbreaking scene.
Thankfully, Okabe was able to fix it so she had a slightly better end. She was able to pass peacefully with no regrets, instead of full of regrets.

While that's certainly true, I was still crying buckets when I first saw this scene. It's an emotional gut punch.

...wow...shit, that show's dancing the plottwist!
So...she said the storm damaged the time machine...so she suffered from amnesia(?)...but after that they lost me... 😅
One thing that came to mind: the whole start was the D-mail Okabe wrote after Makise (which according to Suzuha was the head-researcher on time travel at SERN) was murdered...which changed things so much that she survived and could help him research the "how"s and "why"s on the time-travel stuff...was Makise's assasination maybe another time-travel-mission to change the future...I'm confused

Suzuha letter was so much more emotional in the visual novel, or may be it is becuase of English dub.
