The dub is decent but for emotional scenes the original Japanese voice actors are way better. To follow the story dub is better but can't give back the same feeling what the original can offer. I would prefer the the Japanese version even if you have to stop to give some thoughts or going back to make sure things.

You should really try the dub it's easier to follow.

Like your reaction. I used to feel exactly the same way about Suzaku as you.

I'm impressed that you remembered Todo's name from when Clovis mentioned it briefly.
If I'm not mistaken there should be 88 children in the Britannia Imperial family's 2nd generation. My dude Charles has got hella consorts.
The contrast between the way Lelouch sees the world and the way Suzaku sees the world is one of my favorite elements of this show.

Suzaku should know that the people in Shinjuku ghetto were not killed by poison gas because he knows what's really in the capsule. Britannia would still oppress the Japanese in the long run if Suzaku returns to them. Even among Britannians, there are royalties, nobles, and commoners. If an honorary Britannian were to put in a position of power by some chance, he will be deposed the moment he goes against the interests of full Britannians. They would not stop oppressing Elevens or give them back their natural resources just because a former Eleven says so. It's like having a Jew becoming an honorary Aryan and help Nazi Germany suppress Jewish uprisings because he wants to do things by the book.

Pretty stubborn of him. But he's not wrong about the purge against Elevens and Honourary Britannians if he were to run with Zero though.

"What happened to make her blind and unable to walk?"
You've already seen what happened. The assassination of her mother. Some of those bullets hit her, paralyzing her below a part of her back. And the trauma of the incident caused her to develop psychosomatic blindness; she was never able to see after that, even after leaving the hospital.
