where is Ryuk?
Getting apples of course, he's gonna need a lot of snacks for such a long show; with Light & Misa giving up their Death Notes he could have been floating around all this time & watched XP

About the new intro compared to the first one: I find that lots of people tend to dismiss it as weird for the sake of weird, but the opposite styles are intentional. The tone and imagery in the first opening symbolize Light's own perception of himself, his nobility and intentions of becoming a god. The second opening is jarring, stripping away the façade to show that deep down, Kira is batshit insane. Without spoiling much, I would also say that both intros are also more suited to their respective halves of Death Note.

You give Misa way too little credit, she helps Light out a lot more if you really think about.

Yup, the opening is a love or hate type of thing. People are either obsessed or indifferent to it. I found the more I watched the more I started liking it. Look up Maximum the Hormone they do a lot of anime openings, and they’re AMAZING live performers. I’ve been obsessed with them since I watched this anime back in 07/08

"I just don't want her to fuck this up". That almost sounds like you are on Light's side and agree with his definition of justice. I guess that whoever prevails in the end will define what justice is
