Just wonder how Misa will take Rem's end (if Light lets her know it at all)...my guess: now that Rem can't protect Misa anymore, he will throw her under the Bus & sacrifice her to conclude the investigation, becoming the only Death Note user (for his ego) & taking Ls place in one move.

This was brilliant. The episode did so many unusual things but it's still hard to predict what it was getting at. The best line here was L saying "I hear the bells. The ring of the bells has been present all day now. Like at a wedding or ..." a funeral

Man guys we’re over half way done I guess u could say the end is “near”

One of the best rivalries in TV history draws its finale. I actually find it hilarious how L is so certain Kira is Light the entire time. Even though he kept saying 1-5% on all the suspects but this whole time he was glaring at Light alone. Even though Light won at the end, L was a level above him losing only to literal superpowers and a love struck Shinegami, despite that he narrowed down the suspects from 7 billion people, to one country, to one person so quickly, forcing Light to use all the trump cards he has available to defeat a mere “human”

Watching rn, at the scene where L is wiping Lights feet, its a biblical reference, to wash someones feet like that is to forgive them for their sins (At least this was another persons take on it which I really enjoyed) Which is also while you feel the regret coming from L in the scene as well as the declaration of friendship

Really? He wasn’t completely beat until the whole rem thing. If only misa wasn’t part of this because Ryuk would never save light like that lol.

Wow. That was well said. I do feel bad for him. Light really was his only friend. It’s sad that even in the end, he had to be cruel to L while he was dying by smiling at him like he didn’t care. He just had to get that last dig in letting him know “you were right the whole time, and I won.”

L was under the rain all depressed because of multiple reasons. He knows the epic duel of his life is finally coming to the finale, and either he dies, or the one friend he has dies. He even dropped the act and asked Light genuinely to open up but Light only brushed it off as usual. Him cleaning Light's feet is his genuine feelings of considering him a friend because despite everything he understands Kira's frustration towards the world and the similarities they share
