I think he wanted to point out that State Alchemists in some ways might not be that much better than Tucker was and that Ed might not be cut out too be a State Alchemist if he isn't able to see/ accept that.

He's just the other side of the bigger picture, just like the two sides in Code Geass, one of the reason I love Fullmetal so much is because they have compelling antagonists, and not flat pure "evil" villains with no motive other than ruining the main character's life. A problem that exists in shows like My Hero Academia

2020-08-29 13:23:13 +0000 UTCdon't worry, I'm sure we're all able to get by until you're ready to record & upload...somehow... :P This episode really fucks you up; after Scar came and killed both of them, you start to wonder what the other state alchemists did for him to judge him as well...& how many did something similarly bad... I guess that just fusing the bodies of Nina and her dog together is easier than separating that body into 2 functional bodies & personalities again.
