great reaction as usual, this brings back so much memories, Re0 season 1 was the anime that got me hooked onto your channel, i remember there wasn't a lot of reactors that were able to relate what Subaru had been going through, they all expects a overpowered MC. Anyway, the author actually wrote about what would have happened if Subaru accepted Echidna's contract read it if you are interested, i doubt it will be animated.

Satella is locked away. She doesn't have access to her physical body but like the other witches her soul still exists. Going off of what Betelguese said in S1 it seems she needs a good host until her body can be freed. Not sure if its true for all the witches but Echidna also created those clones so she could have a body to be in aswell but Ryuzu wasn't sufficent enough.. So far Emilia seems like the only host for Satella

She really just cares about receiving more knowledge and that’s it. She doesn’t care about how her pursuit of knowledge affects others around her.

Wow, I just finished this episode myself and there are a ton of things to sink in for me. I always imagined timelines where Subaru died kept going but I didn't expect them to present it, we even saw that Puck was obliterated by Reinhard in one of the timelines when he goes berserk :O. And then there's Echidna, I'm even more amused by her than I already was as I can see that she's probably the most complex character we have so far
