Have u ever watch this youtubers "AniNews" or "Echidnut"? If u have time u should watch their content on re zero, during the season airing they will give review on the episode and cut content from the novel, this will give u a clear view of what happen in the anime because the anime did cut a few critical information, as i see ur reaction u have many confusion of the anime as i am, so i think this will clear a few thing that isnt... anyways I recommend more of "Aninews" content because they are clearer.. so i hope u can check it out on ur free time

2020-10-19 13:13:27 +0000 UTCRoswaal's actions are fucked up but this is honestly the final steps Subaru needs. he still has this mentality where he truly believes he can save everything and everyone with 0 sacrifices.. that simply just isn't realistic.. and Roswaal's 200 IQ scenario he created for him will finally make him realize this. So going forward Subaru will be able to make decisions that benefit Emilia no matter the cost which is what he was implying when he said he needs to do things that are best for her. All in all Roswaal is making himself the villain to better Subaru in the future.. Now that i think about since he said he hired Elsa he must've also hired her back in ep 1 which would make him the reason Subaru & Emilia even met.. Makes me wonder how much of the future his book tells since Beatrice's stopped long ago

It addressed a problem i wasn't sure they would touch in the anime and that's that Subaru was starting to lose his humanity from using his return by death to much. It was such a important and heartfelt moment for him to realize that his life has value.

Don't fret alone, fight alongside those who love you..Subaru's greatest strength was never Return by Death, it has always been the cliche power of friendship. If he actually thought to let Otto take him to the capital city and get his whole damn army of friends like Reinhard, Wilhelm, Julius who are literally the strongest people in the Kingdom, this sanctuary vs mansion matter will easily be solved.
