I try to never argue with anyone about whether or not they should like something. The trap I fall into is disagreeing with the reasons people say things are bad. That is to say I end up arguing with the logic behind their reasons or what I perceive as double standards or contradictions. Like if they’ll complain about something in one series but give it a pass in another one. At the start of this reaction you mentioned that some people might think this show is great which is OK but you think it’s bad. That amused me a bit because it almost made it sound like there were only two possible opinions. I don’t think this show is great but I don’t think it’s bad either. I like it well enough to keep watching at any rate. I’m not very good at ranking how much I like things. I can never do top ten lists or things like that. Usually I either like something or I don’t. Occasionally I will be blown away by something like Made in Abyss but usually my appreciation for things is at a fairly even level. I will say that while I like Vigilantes it’s at the lower end of shows I like. I’m watching about 20 different animes a week this season and if I was dropping a show Vigilantes probably wouldn’t even be my 5th choice of shows to drop.
