---===---

It was difficult for him to believe that something so simple could possibly hope to fix the problems that had plagued him for his entire life, but if there was anything Tyr could ever hope to believe in, it was the power of science; the study he had volunteered for was supposedly being done by some of the best in the field, and if it weren’t for the long list of disclaimers attached to it, the raptor would’ve signed on in a heartbeat. Even then, he still only gave it a few moments of thought before eagerly signing on the dotted line and enthusiastically asking when the trials were meant to begin, after which he was given a time, date and address; three hours before he was supposed to be there, Tyr had already driven up to the off-site research lab, where he was politely asked to wait outside until it was actually open, it being quite early in the morning. Despite the cold, he paced around in front of the building, counting down the minutes until the sliding glass door made way for his entry, and a very tired-looking doctor was forced to deal with someone who was likely far too giddy for something that was meant to be nothing if not inane and mundane.

What followed was the typical legal stuff that Tyr didn’t bother listening to, choosing to focus on whenever the doctor spoke of “muscle mass” or “bulking” or any such things; it was all music to Tyr’s ears, even though he was missing out on the rather important point that it wasn’t supposed to take effect immediately, nor would it turn him into the colossal Adonis-like living statue of raw power that he envisioned himself as. All that mattered was that the study promised bulk and he was going to get bulk, hence why when he was asked if he was fully aware of the dangers and wished to back out, the raptor chose to nod enthusiastically and practically beg for the man to get on with it. It was clear from the doctor’s reaction that he found this nothing short of alarming, but he chose not to bother himself with it. Instead, he brought Tyr with him through a long, narrow corridor before dipping into one of the many doors lining both its sides, the two of them emerging into a rather cramped-looking office with a desk, a chair behind it, and a bed covering the full length of the wall opposite the entrance. It was spartan, but it hardly mattered: it was where he would start his new journey!

When requested, he stripped down to his underwear and took position on the bed, practically buzzing with uncontained glee as he saw the doctor put on surgical gloves and a mask before getting up and approaching one of the walls. With a quick push, a spring drawer was revealed, emerging along with a whole suit of medical equipment, providing all the tools required for the researcher to prepare the injection, all while he spoke about the predicted effects it would have on the raptor’s body. Recognizing that repeating himself was pointless, the doctor chose instead to prepare the sample and inject it as quickly as possible; the sting was harmless and the raptor practically didn’t feel it; the anaesthetic that went with it felt stronger, a rude awakening for the lizard’s fantasies. He looked down at himself, at his skinny little body that wasn’t immediately bwoompfing outwards with ridiculous amounts of muscle mass, and couldn’t help but let out a dejected sigh at having his dreams crushed so unceremoniously; he was really hoping for immediate results.

This didn’t last long, however; while initially it was nothing more than an easily-ignored tingle, as the seconds ticked away that sensation creeping up his right arm become harder and harder to ignore, until the raptor was all-but forced to instinctively look towards it just to check that everything was ok, a simple gesture that immediately flipped his spirits around once he saw what was “wrong” with his limb: it was bigger than it used to be, certainly more well-defined and with his bicep in particular bulging out ever so slightly more than it should, leaving him flabbergasted when he stopped to examine it properly and noticed that it was actually thickening right in front of him; Tyr’s eyes went wide as he struggled to confirm that what he was looking at wasn’t an hallucination nor a trick of the eyes, and just a few seconds later, when he heard the researcher by his side utter “What the…” in the most worried tone of voice possible, that’s the when raptor had confirmation that it was real. Immediately, he leapt to his feet, taking the first chance he had to flex and force his body to pump up and bulk out in every direction, and found that not only did the sensation of pressure spread to the rest of his body, but said body didn’t remain at the same size for much longer; one flex later and suddenly his arms had gone from skinny to big, and then from big to downright enormous, leaving him with biceps about the size of his head, and a disproportionately larger upper body compared to the puny legs below… at least until the sudden growth spurt remembered to cascade downwards and he found his head flying up towards the ceiling as every inch of his body exploded with newfound size and mass, leaving him with haunches about as delicious meaty and toned as his arms now were; all of this happened so quickly that, by the time either of the two men in the room realized what had happened, Tyr had to bend over to see the doctor, because his pecs were in the way if he didn’t.

There was no time to waste. If there was anything that the lizard remembered from the countless hours’ worth of growth footage he had saved back at home, it was that he had to ride the high for as long as it lasted, or else he’d end up stopping before reaching his dream size. It wasn’t enough that every step he took shook the whole room and left small cracks on the floor, nor was it enough that he couldn’t really fit even half of his new torso through the door, needing him to push down on the wall and collapse it outwards; he wanted more, needed more, and was going to find something to lift in order to force his body to develop even further, his entire frame tingling just by thinking about it. As he made his way back to the front lobby, Tyr kept squeezing and straining parts of himself, making his muscles creak and groan like thick leather as his impromptu exercise made them bloat and swell with newfound bulk, until he could barely even walk through the corridor with how wide his shoulders had become. With a devious little smile on his muzzle, the ascended raptor stretched both his arms in opposite directions, destroying large sections of the building around him when he then pulled them into a flexing pose, hoping to cause enough of a growth spurt tha-

-two seconds later, anyone watching from outside would see part of the roof exploding outwards, followed Tyr’s head emerging from the hole as his body expanded in every direction, the lizard himself roaring so powerfully that multiple cars on the street had their alarms go off. Concrete and plaster flew off into the sky, landing hundreds of yards away from the sheer force with which the giant’s body freed itself from the pathetic binds of mortal buildings. The roar died down, turning into nothing more than a pleasurable moan as Tyr’s tongue lolled out from his mouth, the colossus panting heavily when he looked down and took in just how enormous he was… and just how big he was yet to be, because he didn’t feel like he was done. In fact, even when he plunged his hands deep below the ground, grabbed hold of the building’s foundations and ripped the whole thing off of them, trailing bits of steel and concrete with it as he raised it towards the heavens, he didn’t think it was enough. Not even when his body reacted by bumping up his size with every heartbeat, yards of hardened, rippling mass added onto his frame for each seconds that he held the clinic up, right up until it grew too tiny to be considered a proper weight, did he think he was remotely done.

Though each breath created gusts of winds already powerful enough to make trees bend and creak, he still wanted more, even after he accidentally stepped on a long-haul truck and promptly flattened it into a pancake without even thinking about it, adding about three or so feet of girth to each of his legs in the process. Looking around, the only thought in his mind was the fact that nothing near him was even remotely heavy enough to make a difference; if the clinic was too small, what use would a house be? He was a god, a lizard ready to ascend, but if he was going to achieve his dream goals, he was going to need a challenge… and the downtown area off in the distance was looking incredibly tasty.

If only there weren’t so many houses in the way, then Tyr wouldn’t have had to waste so much time stopping in between his emergence from the clinic and getting to his final destination; as much as they didn’t really fill him like he hoped they would, the raptor nonetheless found some enjoyment lifting those tiny things from the ground with a single hand and holding them aloft in the sky, wood and stone falling down on his growing frame in equal measure. It wasn’t the actual lifting that made him bulge out so much as the sheer strain of doing it; being as massive as he was, Tyr’s body simply couldn’t move without part of it rubbing against another, or his muscles having to work on overdrive to move a leg or an arm, resulting in his enhanced biology forcefully adapting him to overcome this new challenge. The end result? Something as simple as flexing his arm nearly made his biceps bulk up to twice their size every time he did it, every step he took thickened his legs to the point where even an elder redwood ended up looking like a toothpick, and he was lucky he got his nuts behind his legs, otherwise he would’ve been stuck on them from how immense they had become, to say nothing of his torso-wide cock that jutted out far above his head and constantly begged for attention. All of him was excess, and yet he needed more, utterly unsatisfied with what he had; it wouldn’t be enough until he loomed over everything without even trying, and wouldn’t he know it, some of the tiny ones down below seemed to agree as well!

Things happened so fast that the poor people living around the clinic barely had a couple of minutes to react to the sudden appearance of that monstrous lizard, and by the time their shock waned and they realized what was going on, they didn’t have much of a choice but to sit there and watch as it happened, utterly powerless to do anything… anything but worship that burgeoning god right in front of them, of course. It felt so wrong at first, to give up immediately and throw themselves at the feet of unknown person like that, but with the way his sweat glistened under the sun, falling down his over-engorged musculature, the way his whole body seemed to creak and groan like a mighty oak in the wind, how the ground trembled and shook like in an earthquake with every step he took… well, it felt ridiculous not to worship someone who clearly was far higher on the divinity ladder than anyone else, especially once that shaft of theirs became so large it was impossible to ignore. So they walked towards him, first slowly and then picking up the pace, eventually sprinting in his wake as the massive lizard began to ignore the diminutive houses around him and focused entirely on the cityscape sprawling in front of him; hundreds, then thousands of people, all wanting to shower him with praise, hoping that maybe they would be blessed by his presence, even if just with a simple touch, blissfully ignorant of the fact that Tyr no longer cared for them, but only for the worship they provided.

He could feel it, in the back of his head. The voices, the chorus magnified a thousandfold as it permeated his every being, reverberating with every fiber of his self. He had to stop moving, gently flexing both arms with his eyes closed as he took in several deep breaths, gritting his teeth when he felt the wave of adulation crash into him, reinvigorating and filling him with raw, unfiltered power. It was perfection, it was strength, and each word that was cast towards him only served to add to his growing, bulking avatar; each second he spent with his muscles clenched and his shut was a second that Tyr felt his body expanding in every direction, countless pounds of raw muscle mass depositing themselves on top of the existing one, bulging outwards and taking up more land as his claws dug deep trenches into the ground, flattening trees by sheer virtue of how powerful his exhales were, the growth spurts of his powerful shoulders and arms compressing so much air that they created shockwaves that threw his followers flat onto their backs. And what was best, it didn’t stop when he opened his eyes again; if anything, it just made him appreciate how much his body was dwarfing everything around him, so much so that every step he took towards the city was one where he realized that even skyscrapers wouldn’t be able to stand up to him by the time he got near him.

Indeed, the downtown area that he had believed would serve as the main course to his meal now barely looked like another entrée, unfit for someone as powerful and colossal as him. Why, all he had to do was flex a single arm and the resulting rush of displaced air was enough to strip an entire city block of every window it had, showering the streets below in millions of tiny shards and announcing to the little ones that their new god had arrived. That, he believed, was the real main course for that day: the worship. He was already big enough that the only thing left that would even remotely pose a challenge would be the local geography; hell, he literally bent down and picked up the largest skyscraper in the city with a single hand by holding it at the base and his arm alone managed to knock out a couple of city blocks in every direction just with such a simple gesture, and every second he spent doing nothing was one where the stacked adoration of an increasingly large crowd just made him grow ever more powerful, until he towered over the skyline and was visible from beyond the horizon already, a creature of such unfathomable power that simply looking upon him would make anyone lose their minds and submit to their will. If he wanted a challenge he’d probably need to lift a hill or something, but that was too much hard work; what he truly wanted was to show off, to take this body of his and put it on display for everyone to see, that the tiny ones beneath him may not only witness true perfection, but that he may finally asser him as the massive hunky lizard he always dreamed of being.

It became even better once he realized he could sculpt himself on the go, without the need for any exercise, or anything other than his will in fact; whether it be because of the experimental medication or because he truly was a god and reality just now caught up to him, all that Tyr had to do in order to give himself a particular shape was to picture it vividly in his head, close his eyes, and when he opened them back up he would find his body had changed to fit his dream self. He abused this new power indiscriminately, striking pose after pose as he moved mass from one side to another, crafting for himself the perfect bodybuilder’s physique that he had always dreamed of, all while the crowd at his feet (or rather, the one on his feet as they tried climbing his glorious form) continued to feet their worship directly into him, gifting him with more mass with which to carve out his physical form, more mass for him to bulge out, more mass to make him more powerful, until he began razing the very city itself just through his mere presence! Buildings collapsed when parts of him bulged out, whole districts were carved out when he had to move one of his feet and ended up crushing dozens of buildings with every single claw, even the air currents created by his ascension were so strong as to throw cars upside down right before a single one of his digits turned them into metal disks. He roared and growled loudly enough to break the sound barrier, feeling like an absolute god as the tiny ones around him kept trying to climb his burgeoning frame, yet never managed to get anywhere near even his ankles, and he just kept growing!

His head broke through the cloud layers, his bulging body bulking out in every direction, destroying everything in its wake as it ascended towards the heavens, piercing the skies themselves as its size ensured that more and more souls willingly surrendered themselves to his magnificence. None could even see his face anymore; it was stuck at the bottom of his neckbulk, surrounded on both side by a pair of arms that were each about as thick as his mountainous torso, powerful enough that, when it came down to it, he pushed himself off of the planet and into orbit with little more than a small shove.

There he loomed, looking down at his homeworld, marvelling at how tiny and inconsequential it was. Billions of souls, ready and waiting to devote their lives to a deity that would soon be able to hold their planet on the palm of a single hand, able to crush it if need be, but content in allowing it to exist. He looked up towards the cosmos all around him, fancying it a decent enough backyard. But it still wasn’t enough.

He wasn’t done growing yet.
