Hey just to mention. Kaien Shiba is not Rukia's captain. He was her lieutenant. Ukitake (one who is always sick with the white hair) is Rukia's Captain. To be a Captain with the exception of the Kenpachi of Zaraki you have to learn Bankai. We have only seen his shikai when Espada #9 used it against Rukia.
