Close! Megumi fought a curse with Sukuna's finger. Those two brothers turned up to get it, and ended up fighting Yuji and Nobara. They got those flowery tattoos because of the blood technique. (I've rewatched season 1 a crazy amount, which is the only reason my memory of it is so good haha)

2023-09-15 14:30:50 +0000 UTCFor example, when Mechamaru destroyed his arm; it was said that Mahito didn't heal after it - he just changed the shape of his soul to pretend it healed; but he was still missing part of his soul overall. So if someone like Yuji keeps punching bits of his soul, there will be nothing left of Mahito to transform/recover.

Mahito said that because there are two souls in Yuji's body, that Yuji is aware of the outline of his own soul; which I guess just means he's also aware of other people's souls and his cursed energy can attack them as well as their physical bodies. Mahito's technique is being able to manipulate Souls, and then the physical body changes to match that Soul's shape; so if his Soul is damaged, he can't fully heal his body.
